This works well in the fact I was planning a thread using character but falls for me due to I was planning on abandonment, could I be quote un quote "adopted" so I can hold the bloodline plans I was going for?

Sure, my clan adopts a ton too, so that's not unusual. It has two branches in it. One focuses on puppets, Bunraku the other uses Chakra Threads more exclusively, Kabuki.
