John was surprised that Ethereal had dodged his punch. He was more surprised when he was thrown off balance by a telekinetic wave. He stumbled backwards, almost falling to the ground, but he caught his balance just in time. He then sent a return blast at his partners head, all the while concentrating on his feet, opening to keep him distracted.
