Soon I will be adding similar treatment to the "Subscriptions" button in the header. -- It will display the number of subscribed topics with unread posts.

And, I'll be adding a @Mentions button that displays the amount of unread posts that have mentioned you.

Today I built the foundation of that system, so most of the hard work is done.
