Hey hey! So I do most of my RPing at work, as any dedicated employee does. However since the new shiny awesome site it doesn't work. There is no login bar or anything and the topic panel things don't display correctly. I would rather avoid having to go back to actually working at work. What do? It's IE8 - 8.0.7601.17514

Thanks. I'd consider this a critical issue. What operating system? I may not have time to figure this out until the weekend, but I'll first see if there's an easy fix.

I believe it is windows 7 - I will double check tomorrow but I'm fairly certain. Thanks Mahz!

Just to let you know - on the work PC the formatting in post doesn't auto do anything and stays all none formatted and the pictures don't load. Also in subs and on the main page the bit that normally says when the last post was only says the time and date - for example this topic says: by Mahz → 28 Jan 2015 9:43 and not 1 day ago. Its not so much a problem but thought I should say.

Also apparently pushing the edit post button puts me back to the main page instead of allowing me to edit out my mistakes... and the Formatting Cheatsheet toggle button does nothing.

Thanks. Those issues are all explained by Javascript not loading or being executed for your work browser somehow. (Is this only an issue for you on your IE8 work computer?) The most likely possibility is that I'm using some Javascript code that isn't available or compatible with IE8 (six years old), so an error is thrown that stops the rest of the Javascript on the page from executing. I'll look into it, though it's not easy for me to debug IE8 issues. If possible, could you open your IE8 console next time you're at work and see if it indicates any errors? I did some googling for "IE8 console" and it seems that you just have to press the F12 button. Looks something like this: I'd love to know if you have any errors or none at all. Either way, I do want to modify the Edit button so that it will fallback to an unfancy edit box even if Javascript is not working. That way, even if I can't figure out the other Javascript issues, you'll still be able to edit your posts.

No problem - will get on that tomorrow. Yeah everything is peachy from my home PC and phone, so it’s literally just work PC. Like you say everything there is old as the program we use to track and record everything isn’t compatible with the newer versions of IE or something (I know very little, if nothing about coding and what not). I’ll try n get some screenshots up. I’m more than happy that it loads and I can post now, which is the main thing – but of course however I can be of assistance to the one true Mahz

I made the Edit button fallback to a basic edit form if your Javascript isn't working. Looks like the first error in your screenshot is preventing the rest of the Javascript from executing. When you get a chance, could you click the blue link to the right of that first error message? It should navigate to some function call in the code that isn't working in IE8. The first error is "Object doesn't support the property or method", so the key to fixing this is to find the exact code it's complaining about. Ideally you'd just click that blue link and take a screenshot of where you end up.
