[i] I like the detention idea (even though it was a breakfast club joke hehe) and I like the youth night idea! Another idea I also had is that maybe we start the roleplay on a holiday of some sort? That might give a reason for people to be somewhere doing something. Like I know here in Minnesota, we have a State Fair every August and man it's hugeeee. Tons of things to do and thousands and thousands of people come to it. 

Of course our little town would not have something so big- but any little carnival or something might give reason for our people to meet one another; or if it's 4th of July or something- maybe a fireworks spot, or something of that type :D Just an idea. [/i]
