Oooo I also like the carnival idea. It could be like some Harvest Festival and there town throws it's little carnival. With Ferris wheels and other rides, fun little game stands and such. Plus it would be at night and there could be fireworks.

Our characters could go to have fun, but also be a bit shunned by fellow people.
