I was originally thinking of going with more of a Scarlet Spider route. Now, though, I've got an idea for something a little more traditional, but to an extreme; a hardened but broken inside Spider-Man who's lost basically everyone that 616-Peter had to lose, assuming no weird rewrites, write-ins/outs or retcons were ever pulled. Shaped almost entirely by grief and personal loss. Not a happy existence. Also not something I'd normally pull, due to the EXTREME unlikelihood of something like that ever happening ('everyone died' is kind of a pretty weak backstory in my honest opinion) but I think it could be interesting in the context.
