Connor hated to cause any pain to Kijani, and sometimes he cursed himself for not thinking what he said through. Sometimes though...it just had to be said. He couldn't just keep it in all the time. And he wanted her to know just how much he cared. 

He didn't speak, but instead rose, and going over to her, he hugged her. And then said "let's go get that Indian food"
