Today had been another simple day, in which Alver Starlis slept through most of it. He had gotten used to being a night owl most of his life since he had little use to being awake during the daylight other than maybe classes. Even then, most of the time his classes took place at night, thanks to his special tutor his parents hired over the years. Besides, he always did enjoy the night, it was prettier than people gave it credit for. And it was away from curious eyes. When he woke up, the pale colored boy yawned and raised his head a little, wearing nothing but a pair of black shorts. Having slept on his stomach, he propped himself up with his elbows as his pale lavender eyes blinked the sleep away. The dimly lit room, having darkened slightly as the sun lowered to be replaced by the moon and the night sky. Must be around evening. Giving a mild groan as his face flopped back down to his pillow, he rolled over onto his back and swung his legs over the bedside and stood up, stretching his tall body. Sliding his slender long fingers through his messy white hair, he gave a mumble as he walked to the bathroom. Grabbing a purple brush from the left slider from the pearly white sink, he brushed out his messy white hair until it was straight before removing the last of his clothing and getting into the shower. After washing himself thoroughly with with a soft cherry blossom scent, he dried himself off with a beige towel while walking back to his room, a similar towel around his waist. Moving to the closet to changed into some clothes to cover his almost naked lean, lightly toned body. Humming as he slipped on a pair of underwear, he wore a pair of white sweats and a long sleeve light brown turtleneck. Grabbing a hair band on his nightstand, he put up his long white hair in a loose low ponytail. Slipping on some white socks he took from his dresser and a pair of silk white gloves, he walked out of his room and went down the small hall that led to the living room and open kitchen. The living room had a couch and two cabinets full of books. Since there was no tv or computers, he had to spend a bit of his time reading. A black grand piano also sat in the corner, another hobby of his to relieve his boredom. As he walked to the kitchen, he grabbed a white bowl from the cupboard and poured some cereal in it then added milk. Sitting down at the lonely table, he ate his 'breakfast' in solitude, munching on the sugary crunchy cold food silently. It was indeed lonely, but one had to get used to it when one had a single mother who was a police officer. Glancing toward the kitchen fridge, he saw a yellow sticky note with some words on them. Probably his mother letting him know she was going to be late again. Looking down at his bowl, he took another bite, pondering what to do tonight. The pale boy probably would of done what he always did and just enjoy solitude in the forests, away from the gawking eyes of the idiotic people of this bloody town. However, tonight was also supposedly a carnival, according to the newspaper. He didn't like people, and he wasn't used to crowds, but he did kinda want to experience a carnival. It was probably more fun with friends, but if he went he could at least say he had that experience. The catch was, he had to deal with those religious people who seemed to just enjoy judging him and making him some sort of attraction. 'Oh look at the ghost of SaintKrest! Better watch out! Such a rare sight to see him around!' And blah blah. Still, it was only for one night. Can't be that bad right? He had that much tolerance. Glancing toward the time, he gave a few grumbles of disapproval, the tall man sighed before walking to the front door, grabbing his white coat from the coat rack and slipping it on. He should be fine outside, it was dark so he should have no problem. Slipping on a pair of white and blue-striped tennis shoes before walking out door and locking it behind him. It was more or less a peaceful walk to the church, if you don't count the people who were staring and whispering about him when he reached the more central of the town. They were promptly ignored however as he made his way to church for Youth Night. This was probably his first time actually attending such a event, but he was only doing it so he could attend the carnival. As he drew closer and closer to the church, more and more people gathered, making his tall lean body tense as he could just feel the stares and hear their whispers. Once entering the church, he continued to ignore people but walked to the supervisor who was in charge of the Youths attending the little carnival trip. The man seemed surprised to see him, but also didn't say anything. Probably unsure what to say. "Is this where the Youth group is meeting for Youth night?" Alver asked bluntly, his voice soft and silky but firm. Watching the man nod slowly, the tall boy grunted before crossing his arms and patiently waiting there. Suddenly, he caught some whispers just around the corner of the church. The very pale man didn't have to look to know what was going on. For someone who was locked up all the time, his senses were quite good considering he didn't ruin them like most people his age do. So he could make out some of the hushed conversation, sounding younger. Probably middle schoolers. "Hey, it's that freakishly tall vampire that lives near the forest." came a boy'a hushed whisper. "Why's he here? I thought vampires can't come near the church or the cross?" Another boy whispered. "Maybe it's some sort of magic spell. Hey, I dare you to go touch him." The first boy whispered. "What?! No way he may eat me or something!" the second boy whined. "What are you, chicken? Come on! Do it! I'll even give you fifty bucks if you manage to do it. Better yet, make a decent enough attempt." the first boy challenge. With a gulp, a middle schooler boy, probably a football player by the looks of things with short brown hair and brown eyes slowly tiptoed his way closer to the ghostly colored man. Alver remained standing, arms crossed and lavender eyes closed. Pretending not to notice as he listened to the sloppy tiptoeing footsteps. He heard the nervous breathing draw closer until it was right next to him. Taking a few paused moments to allow he younger male poke him in the side, Alver snapped his eyes open and turned toward the boy with a fierce glare and hands outstretched, long slender fingers curved into makeshift claws. "Rawr!" Alver hissed, before his frown turned into a minor a amused grin as the younger boy squealed like a little girl before bolting away along with his little friend. Huffing, the man straightened and crossed his arms, ignoring the dissapproving look he received from the youth group supervisor.

The house was quite, an oddity around the small house, considering a two year old boy lived there. It was neat, and clean, and Amy "bellafonte" Stevens sat making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, wrapping them up, and slipping them into a bag, along with a thermos of milk, and a bottle of water, as well as other variety of things one needed for a child. Amy was 18, and her son 2. She often recieced nasty comments from people who didn't know the circumstances, which Amy knew would just make it worse. The people of this town would just say that she was a demon who had lured the boy into lying with her, or some other ridiculous thing. They would say her son, her Jackie, was demon spawn and shun him. She knew her mother had lied, had said that when she came to the town with Amy barely out of the hospital that her father had died in an accident before she was born, simply to avoid the nastiness. Amy didn't have that luxury. Glancing at the time, she knew she had to wake Jackson up, to get him clean, dressed and looking nice. She was going to the youth night, and she wouldn't be shunned away. She had the right to go, and she wanted Jackson to see the carnival. Which was why she had put him down for a nap, so he could enjoy the night. They would sleep in tomorrow, and just have a lazy day. Rising, she went to her sons bedroom, on quite feet. She wasn't surprised to see the dog, Galahad, curled up on the bed with Jackson. She took a moment just to watch them, smiling. Jackson was hers, her little savior. He would have the best life she could give him. Unwilling to disturb the image of boy and dog, Amy nevertheless stepped in the room, causin Galahad to look up, with the same bi-coloured eyes as Amy herself had. As Amy gentle shook Jackson, Galahad rose, leaping down off the bed. Jackson woke slowly, groggily, and Amy whisked him into the bathroom, carrying him before he could put up a fight, the bathtub already filled with warm water. She striped him of his pijama's, and had him in the tub before there was even a groan or moan about a bath. She scrubbed him, and then dried and dressed him, "there baby, that wasn't so bad, was it?" he grumbled, but trotted along after her as she leashed Galahad, made sure she had the bag of stuff, and her own handbag with her Inhaler, and insulin, as well as her purse and car keys, house keys. She didn't take the car, but instead, knowing it was a slight walk and wanting to spare Jackson that walk so he could enjoy the carvinal, she picked him up, resting him on one hip, holding Galahad's Leesh. She started out, just enjoying the cool night air, and had soon reached the church. She was slightly taken aback by the young, pale man, but had soon brushed that off. She could see others watching him, snickering and whispering. As they would with her. She went up to the supervisor, Son, dog and all, stating that she was here and attending the youth night, walking away before he could say anything. Jackson was watching the pale man, his green eyes alight with curiosity, and he asked in his child like voice "mommy, is that man painted?" God, his innocent acceptance of people just melted her heart. "if I had to guess, Jackie, I would at he was born with Albinism. It means he has...none of the special things that give us our colour." she explained, trying to keep it simple. "so...so...he...it's like...white paint? It has no colour..." Amy smiled at Jackson, and said "sort of. Maybe we can talk with him later, at the carnival, for now let's not bother him. We can eat the sandwiches" she said, setting Jackson down, and handing him a sandwich. he jumped on it eagerly, and had soon smeared his face with the peanut butter, the jelly. She cleaned him up, using wipes and cleaning his hands as well. She also took out s small bowl, pouring some water into it for Galahad. He lapped it up with the same eagerness that Jackson had tackled the sandwich with. She could tell that some of the adults around were watching her, but she just went about caring for her son and dog, ignoring any whispers and critisms. She kept a good hold on Galahad, so he wouldn't run off or cause any trouble, and where Galahad was, Jackson stayed. He watched all the people with curiosity, holding her hand. She loved his curiosity, but she could never predict what would come out of his mouth. Which just made life exciting. She thought back to her mother this morning, saying she shouldn't go to the youth night, that she was just asking for the trouble of the town. Amy said she didn't care, that she deserved, that Jackson deserved, to be accepted, and to see a damn carnival. Her mother had grown Timid and almost frightful of the people of the town. Amy hadn't. She went about her day with Jackson, and would do so here, at the carnival. Her mother would say she was flaunting her and Jackson. And maybe that was true. But she was just trying to be a good mother for her son. And that was all that mattered to her.

“...I like to go there in my sleep, aren't any floors for me to sweep, not in my castle on a cloud...” Aaron Deerling was singing under his breath as he pushed the dust mop down the aisles. He weaved throughout Food 'n Stuff, the store where he worked, assistant manager keys jingling from his belt. The song was a bit out of his range, but that never stopped him before. It was after closing time, so he was alone in the store. He had locked the front doors and sent Ashley, the cashier, home. Technically he wasn't supposed to be in the store alone, but he really doubted that anything bad would happen. Besides, he enjoyed the quiet time. After he finished sweeping, Aaron locked the day's money in the store's safe and switched off the interior and exterior lights. He was actually pretty excited for tonight. It was Youth Night at the church again. Aaron attended both church and youth night frequently but quietly. He sometimes enjoyed himself, but it was mostly for his parents' peace of mind that he went. It was a little different tonight, though. They were all going to go to the town festival, and Aaron had actually been a bit giddy when they had announced the plan. The carnival games had always felt like a waste of time but he loved rides. Every time he went to a festival he felt like a kid again. No responsibilities, no expectations. Just get out and have some fun. Aaron did a final check up to make sure everything was secure before unlocking one of the doors, stepping out and locking it again. As he double checked the doors with one hand, he pulled out his cell phone and called home with the other. He tapped his feet and gazed up at the store as it rang, the voice of his father floating out of the speaker after a moment. “Hello?” “Hey, dad. I'm done at work, do you mind if I take the car straight to the church? I don't really feel like walking after all.” “That's fine, Aaron. Just don't stay out all night.” “Okay, thanks dad. See you later.” Aaron heard the sound of his father hanging up, so he ended the call and shoved the phone back into his blue Food 'n Stuff hoodie. He hadn't bothered changing out of it, it was perfect for a night like this. He was about to head for his dad's car in the empty parking lot when he saw a small mark on the outside wall of the store. Frowning, he looked closer at it, using the light of his cell phone to see what it was. Someone had written a word in very small text in sharpie. It simply read, 'FREAK'. Aaron exhaled slowly, mostly upset that he wouldn't be able to wash it off. Besides, it could've been much worse. Shrugging it off, he started towards the lonely car again, keeping his mind focused on the night ahead. --- Aaron rolled his father's car quietly into the church's parking lot, trying not to draw attention. Making an entrance wasn't really his thing. As he got out of the car, he gazed up at the church, brushing his shaggy blonde hair out of his eyes. It was a magisterial building. The architecture was striking, and it was very well maintained. If an outsider were to see it, even they would know that the church was treasured by this little town. He could see that a small cluster of people were gathering inside, so he steeled himself and stepped inside. As Aaron shuffled inside, his work shoes dragging on the interior carpet, he was relieved to see mostly familiar faces. He himself was a familiar face to the supervisor, who nodded at the sight of him. Aaron nodded back, though the sight of someone caught his eye. It was an incredibly tall, and very very pale young man. He easily towered over all of the adults in the group. Aaron's brow furrowed when some younger kids appeared to be harassing the guy, but soon he had scared them off pretty effectively. A young woman about his age caught his eye as well. If Aaron guessed, he would say that she was about his age, which made the fact that she was currently cleaning off the face of a small boy a bit peculiar, at least for this town. When he saw the dog tagging along, he couldn't help but smile; he loved dogs. Most dogs were better than people. Feeling a bit exposed in the middle of the room, Aaron snuck into one of the corners, not wanting to be a bother to anyone. He simply waited and watched, soaking in the atmosphere of the room.

Reyna had been helping to prep for the youth night all day. Most people didn't realize how much stress and dedication from being the church's leaders were. Pastor Robert Carlson had been going around town all day making deals with the carnival vendors to get a little deal for the kids attending tonight. His wife Priscilla had been busy cooking little snacks and making lemonades and punches alike. Reyna had been torn between the two; both helping her mother and going with her father when he needed her to put the extra puppy dog eyes. The turn out tonight seemed that their efforts were well worth spent.
"Attention!"
the pastor called to the rowdy group of children ranging from 10-18. A few people remained talking, as Priscilla and Reyna joined the head of the house towards the center of the room. As attention drifted towards them, the room became more silent and Robert cleared his throat before starting his announcement. "Welcome to our 5th annual youth night carnival experience!" a few claps and cheers escaped before he continued, "We are so blessed tonight, we have had the highest amount of people attending tonight than we have ever had!" husband and wife grinned and Reyna copied them in enjoyment. Reyna enjoyed these type of nights, youth nights had been a cess pool of insults and hatred towards one another any other Friday night. "I'd like to inform you all that I have managed to get every single person here 5 free tickets! These tickets can be used for ride, foods, or games. That I will leave up to you." People started to talk again and the Pastor raised his hands, "Hey now, I'm not finished!" he said, with a little bit of a harsh tone to his voice. "Because of our attendance numbers tonight we had two volunteers tonight to help us out. We will be separating into smaller groups. 10 to 12 years olds will go with Mrs. Anne, go ahead and wave Anne!" the woman waved as the appropriate age kids started to move towards her, and she gave the appropriate number of tickets to each kid. "13 to 15 year olds will go with Mr. Erick over there, go ahead and wave to them as well Erick." he commented, and the kids followed the same suite. "For the 16-18 aged kids, I can assume you do not need any type of supervisor at the carnival but please stick with your group as much as you can, make sure everyone is included and having a good time.." he commented, looking around the room directly at some of the newer faces, Alver included. Handing a roll of tickets to Reyna, the pastor rattled on, "You guys can get your tickets from my daughter Reyna." a few snickers came from some of the older boys, and the man cleared his throat. "More importantly have fun tonight, and if you can- encourage a few new people to come to church to our Saturday and or our Sunday service." Priscilla piped up ending the announcement, "See you at the carnival!" As people dispersed, Robert and Priscilla began cleaning up the leftovers of food and any trash that been littered, before heading into the church to deal with some things before their own departure. Reyna stepped to the side as she started to hand out tickets to the people in her age group, "Here you go." she stated every once in a while, a weak smile plastered on her face as she gave to some of the people who purposely made her life so badly. The church cleared out pretty fast, leaving about 10 people around her age in the church. Most people went by themselves when they got to be older, or they we're going tonight with their family.

"You are not wearing that." Rei turned slightly to glare at his mother as she spoke. They were going to the church for some stupid youth group outing that she was being forced to go to, along with her older sister. Her brother got out of it, of course, because he was nineteen and technically not a child any more even if he still lived at home. "Why not?" Rei frowned, glancing down at the clothing he was wearing. It was his normal attire, at least at the moment; baggy hoodie that was far too big for him, t-shirt and scruffy jeans. None of it was too tight and it was all in dark colours. "Because it is not... good enough for an event like this." His mum pursed her lips. "Go put on something nicer. I know, there's that nice dress I bought you last week." "Mother, I do not want to wear a dress. As I have told you I am not-" "We will have none of your nonsense tonight! Now go get changed." Rei was about to argue more, but the look on his mother's face told him that there was no winning. Stupid parents not understanding. Muttering under his breath he turned around and headed upstairs. He slowly got changed, even though he knew they were already running late, making a face as he looked at himself in the mirror. The dress was just too... girly for him. Maybe a few months ago he would have liked wearing it. But now? No, not at the moment. Running a hand through his long, blue-purple hair Rei grabbed his hoodie and scrunched it up into a ball as small as he could. There was no way he was going without something to cover this up. His mother looked slightly happier as he reappeared, ushering him and his seventeen year older sister, Amaya, who looked quite excited about this event (only because she would see her boyfriend, Rei bet) out of the house and into the car. The conversation mostly surrounding clothing, and makeup, and school and all sorts of stupid stuff that Rei didn't care about at all. Eventually they got there and were quite promptly gotten out of the car with orders to behave (mostly directed at Rei, of course). They entered just in time to here something about getting tickets from Reyna. With his mother now absence Rei pulled his hoodie back on, pulling the hood forward. Thankfully it was big enough to mostly cover the stupid dress he had been forced to put on. He didn't even go to the youth group often unless forced to by his parents. He didn't really believe in any of that stuff even if he had been brought up Christian. He moved over to get his tickets, with a murmured thank you, before moving to stand away from the other people.

Waiting patiently for things to move along, Alver had little choice but to slightly pay attention to those around him to prevent boredom and irritation. Although most of it was just listening to the idiotic religious assholes gossiping and murmuring about others behind their backs. One of them being the pale colored man. The younger ones who still believed in silly rumors such as how he was some ghost, demon, vampire, some fallen angel shunned by God... Some thinking he had killed his own father. Some thinking he was some sort of deviant ready to cause some sort of trouble. Like kidnap their children and corrupt them in order to send them to hell. Some just making fun of his lack of color and freakishly tall slender stature. Rotten Bastards. It wasn't long until a young blonde girl came in with a little boy and a dog, walking to the supervisor and stating she was attending Youth Night before walking away. Alver noticed some additional whispers and the looks people gave around her. Since he wasn't quite involved with this town and religion in general, he wasn't quite sure what their problem was at first. After all, he was used to the obvious reason they had with just his born appearance. As the girl treated the boy in the motherly manner, he could slightly understand. The girl seemed a bit young to have a child, at least, according the people of SaintKrest. Something about not having sex before marriage, and at the proper age of eighteen when kids are considered adults. This girl didn't seem older then eighteen, nor did he see any father figure. The man could be at home, but the distasteful looks and whispers didn't seem to offer such a idea. The little boy also seemed to be at least around two years. As they settled, Alver's lavender eyes slightly glanced toward the little boy as he felt eyes on him once again. The little green eyes were wide were curiosity, but it was filled with innocence instead of menace and judgement. He could barely make out the conversation over the several other hushed conversation, but he understood the boy was curious over the tall pale man. If the child wasn't basically a toddler, Alver probably would of been irritated like he mildly was with those middle schoolers, but this was just a child, almost a baby really. They were naturally curious about everything, and he felt more tolerant over it. Considering he did accept that he looked very different from the people the child was used to seeing with those information seeking eyes. Not too long, a blonde boy entered, settling himself in a corner and away from the center of the group. Alver probably would do the same, but it really didn't matter. His tall stature made him tower just about everyone here and his pale looks made him stick out even further like a sore thumb. Might as well be a beacon to a lighthouse in pitch black darkness. It was then the pastor of this up and tidy church decided to call the place to attention, in which Alver minorly grunted and glanced toward the man as he prattled on. Listing off the age groups and new faces, looking to Alver as he went. In which the tall pale man rolled his lavender eyes, turning a brief red color as the light hit them oddly. Almost giving a soft innocent hum, considering his age was actually nineteen. Though he doubted any of these people knew such a thing. As the pastors daughter moved to hand him his share of tickets, the pale man gingerly glanced down at her and took them. Another youth joined the group, wearing quite the baggy hoodie, and was quite tiny compared to him. This one seemed a bit annoyed with being here, not that Alver could blame them. To be honest, Alver had trouble distinguishing this individual as a boy or girl. Deciding he didn't care, he brushed it aside. It was then the groups were ushered outside, onto their group designated buses. Alver grumbled uncomfortably. The carnival wasn't too far off, but a quick bus ride made things easier for the little ones. Still, that didn't mean he had to like it. It wasn't like he rode vehicles that much, if at all. He walked everywhere. Riding around in some metal trap was noisy, and almost claustrophobic. Plus he was going to be trapped in it with a bunch of people he didn't know, most probably assholes. Despite this, he slowly got on, his long legs quickly carrying him to the back of the vehicle before sitting down on the right side by the window. Not wanting to be further uncomfortable with strangers at his back, he might as well sit where he could face everyone and keep a eye on them. Now, unlike most, due to his freakishly tall stature, most bullies didn't bother him since he towered over them and the rumors usually scared them off. However, there was always a few brave assholes who loved picking fights. So he rather be face to face whenever that happened. After everyone was on board, the buses started to move and head into it's designated target. The carnival. The pale tall man tensing as it moved, a frown crossing his smooth elegant face.

As the pastor prattled on, explaining about the groups. She didn't particularly care, and she lifted Jackson back onto her right hip, brushing his hair back from his face, his eyes. She made a note, as she did every few days to get his hair cut. And would eventually do so. He rested his head on her shoulder, and she smiled happily. She had seen one of the other teenagers watching her, however briefly, and seemed to take interest in Galahad. It didn't bother her, as it seemed innocent enough. She paid more attention to what the pastor was saying them anyone else, and when he said that they could get their tickets, she stepped forward, shrugging the bag of things onto her shoulder more, in an easy smooth gesture that didn't disturb Jackson, making sure she had a good grip Galahad's leash. She smiled at the young girl, who she recognised from the times she had been in the church, at sermons and other things, but didn't know her name. She gave a smile. Recently in an attempt to be friendly as well as to try and put the towns people at ease with her, she had started being polite. It sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. She took her ticket, and then made way to the buses, grabbing a seat, she had Galahad lie at her feet, and kept Jackson in her lap. It seemed better then having him sit beside her, where he could easily break away, and cause trouble. Jackson looked about, craning his neck around, and then settling into her. He seemed content now, as if satisfied with what he had seen. She chuckled lightly, and hugged him close. Galahad watched everything with his bi-coloured eyes, and Amy knew that they would be safe with him. She started to tell Jackson about the carnival as the bus started to move, clearly getting him excited and revved for the night. She wanted him to have fun, and to have the time of his life. She smoothed his hair, but that was a losing battle. Still, she thought she wouldn't be a mother of she didn't try. She kissed the top of his head, and smiled as e shifted to wrap his arms around her.

Aaron studied Pastor Carlson as he made announcements to the group, noticing for the first time that the man almost flawlessly reflected the building they were all standing in. Superior, harsh, and beloved by the community. Well, most of them anyway. When he was done, Aaron pried himself away from his safe little corner and approached the pastor's daughter, who was handing out some of the tickets for the carnival. Aaron had seen her at pretty much all of the youth nights he attended, but he couldn't remember ever actually speaking to her. All that he remembered was that her name was Reyna. As he waited for his turn, he saw that she seemed to look a little depressed. It wasn't apparent at first, because she was smiling. Aaron had been working in retail for some time now though, so he knew a fake smile when he saw one. Aaron's mind raced as he approached her while he played with the zipper on his hoodie and tried to think of something he could say to her to cheer her up. He had drawn up a blank, however, and simply took his tickets, offering her a genuinely warm smile as he said “Danke.” and went on his way. Soon, everyone appeared to be ready to head to the carnival, so they all clamored onto the bus and took their seats, Aaron being the only one willing to sit in his favorite seat: the front. He plopped himself and his backpack down heavily on the seat and put his knees up against the barrier in front of him, curling up in a half-fetal position. A sea of voices began to trickle into the compressed air on the bus as everyone filed in. As they passed him, Aaron made note of the people who had caught his eye earlier, as well as someone with blue hair hidden by a hoodie who he hadn't seen earlier. Within a few short minutes, everyone was on board and the bus rumbled to life and began to move. As they began their journey, Aaron fell into a sort of self hypnosis as he watched the horizon pass by the window. Buildings soon gave way to trees, the sight of which brought a small but bright smile to his face. He was pulled out of his trance when someone from the seat behind him poked him in the shoulder. Aaron turned around, seeing an acquaintance he used to know from when he was in track. He didn't know him long enough to know his name, since he had to quit not long after the other guy joined. However, judging by the look on his face and the mischievous smile his friend was trying to hide, Aaron knew this conversation probably wasn't going to be about track. “What?” Aaron asked, his voice low from apprehension. “So, are you scared of girls or something? Or are you just a fa-” “Neither.” Aaron interrupted him harshly, not wanting to let this jackass finish saying the dreaded 'f-word'. “And it's none of your business anyway.” “That's just sad, man. I'll bet you never even kissed a girl.” The teen grinned toothily while his friend snickered like an idiot. Aaron turned away from them, returning his gaze to the window again. He clenched his hands together, trying to hide the fact that they were trembling with slowly boiling but contained anger. Luckily, the two had gotten distracted by something else as he took a deep breath and pushed the conversation away from his thoughts. It was pointless to dwell on other people's ignorance. Aaron was pulled out of his little world when he felt the bus stop underneath him. Looking up, he was treated to a view of the carnival through the window. The group supervisor was talking to all of them, but none of it breached Aaron's reverie. A village of games, rides, and concession stands sat under the sky, the ferris wheel looming over all of it. People weaved though the stands and rides, usually followed by their kids or their friends. Bright happy flags danced lazily in the breeze as Aaron heard the faint sound of music playing throughout the fairgrounds. The dirt ground underneath everything was spotted with the occasional litter and hay, no doubt dragged from some of the more farm themed areas of the festival. Aaron was taking in the view when he finally noticed that people had started to leave the bus, so he climbed out with them and breathed freely in the open air once he was off the bus. The smell of kettle corn and fried dough filled his nostrils, washing away all thoughts of the morons from earlier. He didn't know where to start, but Aaron was going to make damn sure that it was going to be a good day from here on out.

After handing out the tickets Reyna gave a quick goodbye to her parents before following the crowd to the bus. Her parents would be at the carnival later with a booth set up for anyone interested in joining the church, as well as just enjoying festivities that were set. "Hey-before you go." Pastor Carlson called to his daughter, grabbing her wrist and bringing her to him. "Don't get into any trouble tonight. You're already pissing me off with your attitude from earlier." he spoke in a harsh tone, before releasing her wrist, his scowl replaced by a smile as his wife approached them. "Have fun mi amor." Priscilla cooed kissing her daughter on the forehead and smoothing her wild curls. Reyna nodded quickly and took off towards the bus, being the last to board she sat up close to the front, not taking any time to examine everyone, besides the bus driver. The ride wasn't very far but Reyna thanked the driver very graciously, as she took stand in the front of the aisle. "M-my father said that we should all stick together tonight." she spoke not much louder than the average conversation between friends on the bus. As people began to get up they pushed past her with not much thought, she was a small girl and not very forceful when it came to things like this. Getting off the bus she called after a few of the girls close to her age, "I have extra tickets! I can get you things!" she called not getting much of a response. A few boys followed off the bus, giving her a push and grope while they walked through. One of them being Quentin himself. "You can get us something." he snickered as the group of imbeciles grabbed at their crotches. Reyna backed up against the bus, as the group laughed and walked away- enjoying their own perverse jokes and form of entertainment. It wasn't long after the very tall pale man, a blonde boy, a young woman with a child and dog, and finally a purple haired dark hooded person (Pearleane assumes girl) adorning a dress came off the bus. Granted, Pearleane's father would have a heart attack if he saw that this was the group she wanted to be paired off with, but she desperately wanted to not be alone tonight. Three of them she recognized; One being from her grade at school, and the other two frequent members of her church. It was required of her to remember many of the names of the members because it made them feel more 'welcomed'. Though it wasn't always the case. Before this group had the chance to go off on their ways Reyna raised her voice as loud as she could, "Can we be a group!?" she exclaimed, her hand quickly reaching to her lips, almost surprised at the comment that had came from her lips. "I have lots of extra tickets..." she commented, "We can get lots of food and go on all the rides." Reyna held up the extra roll of tickets she was supposed to give back to her father, but held on to.

As the ride went on, Alver had pretty much pressed himself against the corner, while slightly having to duck his head due to his height and the buses slightly lower roof. Annoying, didn't they make taller buses? Luckily, no one seemed to bother him other than the little annoying snickers and gawking eyes. It was much too loud in the bus, his ears feeling like they were bleeding by the nosy chatter of the none other people in the confined space. How can people stand being on buses?! As they finally arrived at the carnival and the obnoxious vehicle came to a halt, the ghostly man gave a soft sigh of relief as he awaited for everyone else to get off before he stood and walked out as well. Glad to be out in the open and in the fresh air, his long tall body stretched out, glad he was able to stand tall again. As it seemed the group was already falling apart as five other teenagers ran off, not before making fun of that pastor's girl. Rolling his lavender eyes, he was about to go off on his own, since he didn't like the idea of having to be in a group, but soon paused as there was a sudden scream. In which case he flinched at the loud sound, and grumbled before turning his gaze down to the much darker colored person who had caused this loud sound. Just about begging for the remaining people to be in a group with her. Which included himself, the girl with the kid, that blonde boy, and the purple haired hoodie person. Nice combo indeed. Her annoying dad probably won't appreciate a band of misfits. Well except the blonde guy, he seemed normal in this towns eyes. Nothing seemed non-normal by looking standard. The others yeah. Looking down at her with slightly narrowed lavender eyes, the pale boy thoughtfully pondered what to do. This girl had even resorted into bribery with the group of misfits in order to get them to stay. By how she was treated, he guessed he could understand why. Alver didn't like people, he never really hung out with them before. He hadn't even been this close to someone since he was a child when he tried to interact. After all, most just made fun of him, and he was a bit nervous of some idiots thinking his organs were sellable for some good luck charm. However, she didn't seem bad, despite being that jackasses daughter. Nor did the rest of these people, well maybe the short hoodie person who radiated irritation. On the plus side, if he did agree to accompany her, he might actually know what the hell to so at a carnival. Plus, it would be a sore thorn in her fathers side so that would also be amusing. Finally deciding, the tall man brushed his long white hair back behind his ear and crossed his arms. He didn't say anything, but he didn't move either.

Amy once more placed Jackson on a hip as she got off the bus, letting Galahad go first, following behind the medium-sized dog. He barked, clearly in response to so much stimuli, and Jackson gave a big, child like "wooow!" causing Amy to smile. This was a good thing. Not ready to set him down quite yet, she went to start towards the carnival, but stopped as she heard the "can we be a group?" stopping and turning, seeing the Pastors Daughter. She smiled brightly, but was wary. While she had liked the girl during her time at the church, and being young, she was probably less judgemental then adults, she still felt wary about speaking up. But she did, "I'd be happy to be a group. Um. My son, do I have to purchase a ticket for him? I'm more then happy to, but I haven't been to the carnival since I was a kid, and don't know the entry fees" she glance around at the others that had been called out to. Jackson seemed happy that the Albino teen was included in this group, but like a child was equally interested in the others. He leaned in close to her, and said softly"mommy? The person in the dress? Boy or girl?" Again, her heart just melted. He was just so adorable. She glanced over, but with the hoodie, it was hard to tell. Then again, why would a girl wear a hoodie, instead of something that would keep her warm, but still show of the dress? Was this person transgender, and possibly reveling against parents? Either way, Amy wasn't too sure how to reply to Jackson. "I'm not sure, sweetie." he seemed to shrugged and continued looking about. There was the boy who had been bullied on the bus, which she would have done something about, had her hands not been full of Jackson. As Jackson wriggled in her Arms, she set him down, and watched him as he went over to the boy. He smiled his huge, child grin and said "hi. Those boys were mean. Mommy says girlfriends are special, but it's okay. Girls are icky anyway" Amy didn't know if she should pick Jackson up again, or apologise. Glancing to the pastors Daughter, she took the few steps towards Jackson, but she figured no one would hurt him, not with so many people about. Still, she was wary. Jackson, like most kids, didn't have a filter on what they said or did, added to that he had excellent hearing, which was why she always had to be quite around the house. And he remembered things. He would have heard the boys on the bus, would have wanted to say something. He was just so sweet, he wanted everyone to be happy. So far, it hadn't gotten him into trouble, and she didn't expect that it would now. But she had learned a mother was always wary around those she didn't know. In other words, she was always wary outside of her own house or her mothers. "I'm sorry if he is bother you" she said, before looking to her son "what have I told you? You always introduce yourself first" Jackson looked down, but then up again, smiling once more "Sorry, m-m-mista. I'm Jackson" he said proudly, struggling a bit on the word mister"and this is my dog, galhad" Galahad waved his tail, use the way Jackson said his name. "I'm Amy" Amy said, Jackson tugging on her pants leg "no, your mommy" you just couldn't help but love him. "To you, sweetie. To others, I'm Amy" she said, giving him a smile. Would she ever stop being thankful that she had him? Would she ever stop being thankful that it appeared he had none of the man who had create him in him? Was it possible to love her son even more?

Aaron stopped in his tracks when he heard Reyna call out to them, asking them to be in a group together. He didn't even have to think about it; more people meant more fun. Besides, there was something a touch depressing about going on a ferris wheel by yourself. “Yeah, I don't mind. No point in going to a carnival by yourself anyway.” Aaron said with a smile. Anything to cheer the poor kid up. He saw with a bit of relief that he wasn't the only one up for an adventure with strangers. The young mother with her kid and her dog had also stopped and was now talking to Reyna about being a group. The kid in the hoodie and the albino had also stopped. Suddenly, the small boy trudged-ran over to him, with that certain gait only toddlers could have. Before Aaron could say anything the kid announced, “hi. Those boys were mean. Mommy says girlfriends are special, but it's okay. Girls are icky anyway.” Aaron could feel his ears turning red, but he also couldn't do anything to stop the sheepish grin forming on his face. “I know, cooties right?” he said to the little boy, liking this kid more and more by the second. As the boy and his mother introduced themselves in quite possibly the most adorable way possible, Aaron decided that he had a new mission tonight. To make sure that their little group, especially Jackson, had as much fun as possible. “My name's Aaron.” he said, waving shyly from the hip. “That's two a's, not an e. I'd love to be in a group with you guys. Besides,” he began, looking at Jackson cheerfully, “I think I know someone who'd like to play the fishy game.” When everyone was settled and ready, Aaron decided to lead the way, gazing around him to look for the booth he wanted. The cozy dirt path crunched underneath his feet as carnival games and music played around them. Eye attracting lights flashed all around, advertising their kid-friendly games. In the distance, he heard the sound of one of those 'test your strength' games. Soon the stand he was looking for came into view. A large water filled tub stood under an awning, with little plastic fish floating around in a circle. A tired looking attendant stood by the game, guarding the small plastic fishing rods. A line of stuffed toys and prizes hung under the awning along with a sign that read: 1 TICKET FOR 3 TRIES KIDS 6 AND UNDER FISH UNTIL THEY WIN! “Okay, boys and girls.” Aaron turned around while still walking and announced to their rag tag little group, “The first and only rule of the fishy game is: You're never too old to play the fishy game! You can play something else, that's totally fine. If you think you're 'too cool' for this one, I certainly won't think any less of you.” He winked as he said this last part, as if daring someone not to play. He himself led the charge, handing the attendant two tickets and ignoring the guy's raised eyebrow. “Two games for me. And I definitely want the yellow fishing rod.” He took the kid-sized rod from the incredulous attendant and stood at the tub, poised and fishing rod in hand. With zero shame, he started trying to hook one of the colorful little floating fishies, saying loudly, “Come on, come on, daddy needs a new pair of shoes!”

Listening silently to the conversation, Alver watched as the little boy greeted the teenaged blonde boy, assuring the guy that girls are icky anyway. So that was where that negative chatter was coming from and why this guy was considered a misfit. Just because he wasn't sucking lips with some girl? The fuck was wrong with these people in this dumbass filled town? Alver didn't get it. Whatever, deciding to make any sense of the religious crap and idiotic antics of people would only hurt his head. The mother and son introduced themselves as Amy and Jackson, in a rather cute fashion, while the blonde guy was introduced as Aaron. Whom decided to lead the way to the groups first event. Some sort of simulation kiddy version of fishing. The tall albino blinked slowly as he stared at the stand, examining its purpose and why exactly this would be considered fun. But Aaron seemed pretty determined to have them all play, and was the first to jump in in a excited childlike manner. Alver raised his right white eyebrow ever so slightly at the scene, but stepped closer as he watched, trying to figure out the exact objective of this game. GET 3 RED TO GET A BIG PRIZE! GET 2 BLUE AND ONE OF ANY COLOR FOR A MEDIUM PRIZE! GET 3 OF ANY COLOR FOR A SMALL PRIZE! After reading a few written intrunctions hanging around he looked to the booth attendant and pulled out one ticket and held it out. Hesitating, the attendant slowly took it, pulling away instantly to avoid getting any closer to him. Alver didn't seem to care though as he decided a fishing pole to pick. They didn't have white, so he went with the light purple fishing rod. Examining it over, he held it out above the fish. Lavender eyes focussing on the objective before glancing up at the hanging prizes and pondering what exactly he wanted. The big prizes seemed to be large fluffy animals, the medium plushie sized animals and the small cheap necklaces and such. Deciding to go for the big prize, he focused on the red. Concentrating, he moved his fishing pole in a more lax manner compared to Aaron, but he managed to get three red fishes with ease. It wasn't that hard if a game really. Just got to focus and aim correctly. "Um... Congratz, what prize would you like?" the attendant murmured softly. Alver looked thoughtfully at the prizes score pointing a to a fluffy white huggable plush dog. The attendant nodded before getting one and handed it to the the tall albino. Who held it for a moment, feeling the soft plush fake fur before glancing to the little boy and silently handed it to him before walking off to another stand. He was still in sight, but he thought he would at least examine his surroundings a little. It was then, something smacked against the back of his left shoulder. Grumbling, he shifted his white coat in examination to see orange-red splashed against the spot. At the sound of snickering, Alver turned his lavender gaze to a group of high schoolers. "Hey! Finally got some color there Ghostboy!" one guy smirked. Alver frowned, glaring before simply huffing and wiped some of the contents on his finger. Looked like ketchup from a hotdog that was chucked at him. Licking it off his finger, he rolled his eyes. "....Didn't your mother ever tell you not to waste good food? Or are you just too immature to even know better? I feel so sorry for parents, if they weren't as much of illiterate fools. You just hit my coat as well, not actually me. Guess your the poorest player in football." Alver said with a sarcastic smile and shrugged, causing the guy to angrily glare at him. It was then the guy stormed over to the taller man as if to slug him, but Alver side stepped as the guy swung, stumbling and landing straight into a trashcan. "Please do control you're temper. It's a carnival after all. Oh, and do clean up after yourself. It's quite sloppy to litter." the albino said calmly before walking off back to the group without batting a eyelash.

Rei had given a slight shrug in response to the girl, who had been handing out tickets, suggesting they go as a group. He knew that she was the Pastor's daughter, of course, but had never really talked to her. She was fine with going in a group with these people. What was the worst thing that could happen? "I'm Rei," he added as he followed them over to the fishing, pushing back a strand of hair that escaped from his hood. "Current preferred pronoun being he, though they is acceptable in all circumstances." Though she spoke these words quietly there was a certain threatening manner to her stance. Though she wasn't spectaculalry enthusiastic about this fishing thing she still handed over her ticket, beginning just going for random colours. Why would she go by the rules, anyway?

"I'd be happy to be a group. Um. My son, do I have to purchase a ticket for him? I'm more then happy to, but I haven't been to the carnival since I was a kid, and don't know the entry fees." The young mother spoke, and Reyna let out a sigh of relief. At least her and the very tall man seemed to be okay with her forming a group together. "Oh no! Not at all. The tickets pretty much get you everything, and as long as you buy them that pretty much equals any entrance fee they could have." she nodded, looking toward the cute young boy, a knot getting into her throat as she looked away quickly. “Yeah, I don't mind. No point in going to a carnival by yourself anyway.” the other boy spoke, confirming that most of the group that had been left on the bus were okay with her idea. She nodded, happily. "Agreed." This was quite the motley crew, but they all seemed like genuinely nice people- something that was very rare to come about these days. Reyna watched the young boy who introduced himself as Jackson and Aaron talk to one another before Aaron announced, “I think I know someone who'd like to play the fishy game.” Reyna nodded in agreement, she knew the fishy game very well, and always had been mystified by the game until she was older and could understand just what was going on behind the scenes. Magnets and simply magnets. The group began to move, and the quiet hooded person tagged along quickly behind. "I'm Rei," they said as the group walked over to the fishing game, "Current preferred pronoun being he, though they is acceptable in all circumstances." they added quietly, and Reyna's eyes widened slightly. She had seen Rei multiple times at school and never thought of that before. It was something she was unfamiliar with, and a bit surprised by- but she never would think poorly of someone over it. "I love your hair." Reyna commented quiet enough just to Rei, as she gave a friendly smile, before turning back to face forward as they reached the carnival stand. Reyna watched as the group took their hand at the fishing game, the tall pale boy even winning a large prize. "Wow!" she clapped, applauding. She probably wouldn't have even thought to play this game if she had tagged along with the other girls from church, but with this group it seemed that they were just here to have fun, and not that concerned with what others would think of them. The boy handed the large prize to Jackson and Reyna nodded, but wanted to turn her attention to the game now instead. Reyna took her turn and managed two blue fish. She didn't want to carry a large stuffed animal around, and she admitted she would be slightly embarrassed doing so. Winning she picked a small green turtle, small enough to fit into the pocket of her jeans. She admired her prize for a while before she witnessed the huge splat of ketchup slapped against the white coat of the tall boy at the stand a few steps down. Disgusted, turned to stare at the source from which it came. It was of course Quentin and his gang from earlier. The assholes. "Hey! Finally got some color there Ghostboy!" they called, and before Reyna could even begin to think of a comeback the tall boy spoke with grace, "....Didn't your mother ever tell you not to waste good food? Or are you just too immature to even know better? I feel so sorry for parents, if they weren't as much of illiterate fools. You just hit my coat as well, not actually me. Guess your the poorest player in football." Reyna's mouth hung open in both awe and admiration. This guy was her hero. She watched as one of the boys came to fight, and was easily defeated by his own two feet. Landing in his proper home; a trash can. Reyna hadn't caught what the boy had said to the trash before returning back to the group but assumed it was deliciously brilliant. Reyna grinned as the boy returned, probably a tad on the creepy side. He probably hadn't seen that she had been watching the whole time- as the rest of the group had been focused on the game still.

Amy would be forever thankful for the smile on Jackson's face as Aaron waved, and introduced himself, and spoke to him. He looked up at her and said "I wanna play Fishy game! Whats Fishy Game?" He just seemed so excited, and happy. He seemed to have really enjoyed the attention of an older male, and not for the first time, Amy worried that she couldn't be everything he needed. She knew one day he would start to ask questions about his father...and what could she say? she swallowed, and plastered on a smile. "Remember fishing? It's kinda like that. I'm sure Aaron will show you how it works" She said to Jackson, starting to follow Aaron, tight hold on Galahad's leesh, and Jackson holding his collar, like she had taught him. It was easier for Jackson to hold the dog's collar, then to hold her hand. Galahad was more his height, and wouldn't let Jackson get hurt. Jackson looked about with clear, evident, childish excitement. s Rei introduced himself, she wondered if he was a transgender, as he asked them to address him as male. At the moment. It was something she would like to know, but didn't want to seem rude. So she didnt ask. The pastors daughter didn't introduce herself, but explained about the tickets. Amy gave her a smile and a nodded, saying thank you. As the pastors daughter looked away from Jackson, Amy wondered if she made a bad judgement about her. Well. If she did, it didn't matter. When they reached the Fishy game, Amy took out two tickets, giving them to the attendant for herself and Jackson, accepting the two rods. She let Aaron go first, Jackson watching like a hawk, before looking up at her. "I'm going to try now" he said, approaching the tub, he tried to mimic Aaron's pose, causing Amy to smile. She stepped up beside him, ready to help him up. Jackson began to try and hook a fish on the rod, his face filled with pure concentration, this time his tongue was sticking out of his mouth, as if that could help. She had to step back, and take a photo with her phone, before returning to his side. She watched as Jackson tried to hook a fish, but it slipped away. He kept on trying, and Amy could see that his frustration kept on growing with each miss. He frowned though as Alver gave him the white dog, shook his head, but Alver had already walked off. Amy watched Jackson as he watched the scene with the Albino boy, then watched as her son toddled over to him, white dog in his arms, the rod in one hand. He handed the dog back, and most likely because it was the only easily accessible area to hug, Jackson hugged the alibo's legs, before stepping back and looking up at him. "I'll get my own. Mommy says you are a-al-albiny. Donno what that is. She says its like the white paint" Jackson smiled, clearly pleased with his explanation, "thank you for the doggie. It was fuzzy, and white. You should keep it. Everyone should have toys" He skipped off happily, back to the fish game, and once more began to try and score some fish, going for one colour, clearly having figured out that was how you get the big toys. Amy went over to the pale boy, ignoring the comment off "figured one freak would have a kid with another freak". She gave him a smile, Galahad following beside her easily. "I've tried to teach my boy to respect people. He can't pronounce some of the hard words quite yet, but he's got a big heart, and a strong sense of courage. I realise you may have heard him ask why you were so pale, back at the church. He is just so curious. I tried to explain it as best as I could, and realise you may have heard that as well. I just want to apologise for that. I realise how judgmental the people of this town are, and I'm terribly sorry for that. Keep the dog. That will make Jackson happier then having it for himself" She looked over at her son as he triumphly took a fish off his hook, a red one. He cheered, and her heart melted once more as he turned to Aaron, cheering "I did it, I did it!", holding the fish up, and she laughed softly. Without thinking about it, she rummaged through her Jackson bag, taking out some wet-wipes, "Let me clean up that sauce and stuff. It won't get it all out, but at least you won't have it on you. Probably won't save the coat though." She said regretfully, as Jackson scored a blue fish. He let out a groan, but the attendant explained he could still get a good prize. So Jackson eagerly Attacked the tub again.

Aaron watched with a grin as Jackson adopted his own version of Aaron's 'fishing stance'. A wave of happiness washed over him as he saw that the others had joined as well; these were brave people. The albino had tackled the game in a more lackadaisical manner than Aaron, but that was pretty normal. Rei had joined them as well, despite his earlier defensive demeanor. When he had introduced himself, Aaron's heart went out to him. He might never completely understand the sort of issues Rei was going through, but he sure as hell could sympathize with being surrounded by people who just didn't get it, or who didn't believe him or take him seriously. Reyna also played the game and seemed to be enjoying herself. Aaron was just about to start instructing Jackson on how to play when the tall guy strolled over and handed the boy the fluffy white dog that he'd just won. Jackson seemed a bit upset as the guy walked away. Aaron opened his mouth to ask him something when the ketchup incident happened. He wanted to step in, but it was over before he could even close the distance between him and the asshats who threw the stuff. Besides, Aaron hated stirring the pot. As Jackson waddled over to the older guy and handed him his prize back, Aaron had to marvel at this kid's sense of morality and understanding. If this was Amy's work, she was doing a damn fine job. Aaron made a mental note to punch anyone who questioned her parenting. When Jackson came back towards the game, Aaron decided to try and get the kid's mind off what had just happened. “Now,” he explained, explaining the game as if he had some secret insider information. “I'll be you want a big toy, right? That means you gotta go for the red ones. They're hard to get, but I bet you can do it.” “I can get 'em!” Jackson announced excitedly, clapping his hands together. “Darn right! Now, the secret...” Aaron said, demonstrating. “...is to keep your elbows bent. And keep your eye on the fishy you want, like watching a baseball comin' your way. The big word for it is 'hand-eye coordination'.” “M'kay.” Jackson said before concentrating on the game. He played as if the fate of the world was hanging in the balance. Aaron played along, his fishing magnet lure close to Jackson's, but not too close. They had both managed to snag a red fishy on their magnets, and Jackson held his up in the air proudly. “I did it, I did it!” “Alright! Nice job! I got one too.” They both went back to fishing, though Aaron was just mostly watching Jackson and cheering him on. He saw him catch a blue fishy and groan in dismay. “Hey, it's cool. You can get a medium prize if you get another blue one.” The attendant said, apparently taking an interest in their efforts. Aaron watched hope fill the little boy's face as he confirmed it. “That's true, you can still get a good one, like that rhino up there.” He pointed to one of the hanging prize holders, which held a decent sized plush rhino. As he said this, Aaron started aiming for one of the blue fishies himself, making sure that he wouldn't win a big prize either if Jackson wasn't going to be able to. He also decided to psych Jackson up a bit, feeling a bit like Ben Kenobi. “Now, focus...the fishy rod is part of you...it's like your very own arm. See that blue fishy?” Jackson nodded quietly, being drawn in with Aaron's commentary. “He's coming around again. Here he comes...” They both watched as it slowly floated towards them, getting closer and closer. “...wait...wait...now!” Aaron joined Jackson again, both of them grabbing blue fishies with their magnets. “I got him!” Jackson shouted, happy beyond all reason. Aaron held up his hand for a high five and Jackson didn't leave him hanging. “Awesome! Let's go show the attendant!” he said. Aaron led strolled over to the attendant, who let them pick both of their prizes. Without hesitation, Jackson pointed to the rhino and said, “That one!” jumping up and down as the attendant handed him the toy rhino with the stubby little horn. “Which one do you want?” Jackson asked Aaron while hugging the rhino. “That one.” Aaron declared, pointing to the one he wanted. The attendant brought it down, and Aaron gladly accepted the plush platypus. “What's that one?” Jackson asked, eyes wide. “It's a platypus.” Aaron answered, showing him. “A plawhat?” “A pladiepoooooose!” Aaron growled exaggeratedly and poked Jackson with the beak of the doll, making him giggle. Once everyone had their fill of the fishy game, Aaron decided to ask the others, “Anybody here like ferris wheels? I was thinking we could go there next.”

Alver glanced toward the person whom he had difficulty in determining male or female as they said to calm him a he and introduced himself as Rei. A little odd but he wasn't going to complain. It was then he noticed the darker colored female was smiling at him quite oddly when he returned to the group. The pale man didn't really know why, but he guessed it was because those guys weren't quite the friendly bunch, even to the pastors daughter. So he returned the smile, though it was more slight and gentle compared to her wide grin. It was then Jackson wandered over him and held up the dog, Alver crouched down to be more on the kid's level and took the dog with a small frown. Seeming to ponder if he had done something incorrect. It was always possible, he wasn't exactly skilled in social interaction and he had never really dealt with a small toddler like Jackson. So perhaps the gift came off as rude and maybe hurt the little boys pride? People were too bloody complicated. As the boy spoke, Alver slightly smiled at the comment. "Sort of. It's not really white paint. It's like having no paint for a blank picture. I wasn't painted when I was born like others who are colored like pretty pictures." he answered in a surprisingly gentle tone, quite unlike the cold sarcastic one he said to those who tried to bully him. As he held the white plush dog and Jackson ran off to earn his own prize, Alver stood up again, glancing down to Amy as she approached and spoke to him. As she explained things and apologized for the conversation at the churc, the tall man simply blinked slowly. "It's alright. It's not a bad thing to be curious. He's at least not scared of me." he said before looking at the dog. "I guess." he said though he didn't fully understand the gesture before he looked to the girl as she offered to clean his coat. He paused for a moment, but he removed the coat and gingerly held the dirty spot out to her. "Thank you." he said, deciding this would a appropriate time to say his gratitude. The lavender eyed man watched as the teenager and the toddler eagerly played the fish game, earning a few more prizes before Aaron suggested the Ferris Wheel next. Alver didn't speak up his opinion and simply listened to what the others would say.

Amy took the coat, but was distracted for a moment at the scene between Aaron and Jackson. It pleased her that Aaron seemed happy to entertain Jackson, and more, seemed to enjoy it. As Jackson won the rhino, Amy smiled. Jackson seemed to have taken to Aaron quite easily, and Amy wondered if Aaron would be opposed to hanging out with Jackson in the future. It would also be nice to have a friend who wasn't judgmental, or really, to just have a friend at all. Realising she was holding the coat and doing nothing, she shifted, and looked down at the mark. Yes, it would probably stain. If she was home, she would have quickly chucked it in water and soaker to get the mark out. But she wasn't, so she did the best she could with the wet wipes, making a mental note to replace the packet later. "Why should he be afraid of you? Being an Albino isn't a choice, nor is it anything other then the lack of pigment. I've raised him to accept others, and he finds you interesting. I encourage his curiosity. It helps him understand things. One day, He'll remember the tall, white man who gave him a toy dog and laugh at his childlike connection to white paint. I hope that one day, you can look at the white dog, and remember the little boy who thinks you are white paint" She smiled and handed him back his coat. having done the best she could with the wipes. As Jackson came trotting over, eager to show off the Rhino, she knelt, and smiled as he excitedly said, "look mummy! Look!I got one! Aarry helped me! He got a platty too!" "I know, Sweaty! You did extremely well! Here, I'll carry him for you, so you don't lose him on the Ferris wheel" She said, giving Jackson a hug, and taking the Rhino. Before she could stand up, Galahad licked it, and she laughed, shifting the toy under one arm, she looked over to Aaron and said "Thank you for helping him. You're good with kids" She smiled, glad her son could enjoy the night, and glad that Aaron appeared eager to give him a good night as well. Before Jackson could rub off, she caught him, and shifting a few things, managed to get his water bottle out the bag, and gave it to him. Jackson drank eagerly, and she took the bottle back when he was finished. She gave him a look, and he grabbed Galahads collar. She looked around at the others, her gaze landing on the Pastors Daughter. So far the girl didn't appear very interactive, and Amy wondered why she wished to hang out with the 'Freaks' and 'misfits'. Especially given who her father was. Amy had seen the look that the girl had had when The pale boy-She must get his name, and hers. She couldn't keep on calling them Pastors daughter and pale boy-had addressed the bullies. Admiration, and Amy wondered what sort of bullying the girl had been subject to. And then she thought back to when the girl had looked away from Jackson, to when she herself had been 16, and pregnant. To when she had fallen for the wrong boy, who she thought was the right boy. So she took a deep breath, gathering her courage, and went over to her. "I want to apologise. I made a snap judgement earlier, based on the fact that you looked away from my son, and assumed you were just like a majority of this town is. Judgmental, despite the circumstances. I should know better myself, but...when it comes to Jackson, I'm...a bit blind. So. Sorry. I'm Amy" She gave the girl a smile, hoping for a name in return. If only to not be stuck calling her Pastors Daughter. Jackson watched with Curiosity, unsure how to take the girl.

“Thank you for helping him. You're good with kids.” Aaron blushed a little at Amy's observation. He never would've imagined that he would be good with kids, then again he never had the chance to find out before. He was an only child and his parents didn't really have any siblings, except for an uncle who Aaron barely knew because he moved away to start his family. Aaron acknowledged to himself that goofing around with Jackson was definitely a lot of fun. “Well kids,” Aaron said to the group, despite the fact that some of them were the same age or as old as he was. Farcical as usual. “If I'm not mistaken, that large lit up circular thing is the ferris wheel. Anybody who wants on, just follow me.” Aaron began striding towards the ride, arms swinging exaggeratedly. Leading them, Aaron took a sharp turn around a popcorn stand. He wasn't quite looking where he was going, however, and ran directly into a familiar face. A bolt of panic shot through him at the sight of his therapist, Doctor Charles Saunders. Aaron had intended to hide his face and pray that he wouldn't notice him, but it was too late. “Hey! Watch where you're...oh, hello Aaron. I didn't expect to see you here.” Dr. Saunders said, leaning over Aaron with his square jaw and his tight expression. “Uh, sorry Doctor Saunders. I wasn't paying attention.” Aaron prayed that the others wouldn't notice this conversation, at the same time it all felt so absurd, seeing the man who knew his dark secrets buying a bucket of popcorn. “I guess not.” The doctor observed. “Enjoying the festival?” As Aaron mumbled and shifted his feet uncomfortably, the man scanned the group following Aaron dissaprovingly. “Not taking my advice, I see.” Aaron stared at the lights on the ferris wheel, refusing to acknowledge that this was even happening. He grunted out a short, “Nope.” and shuffled past Saunders, wondering frantically if this sort of situation was covered by doctor/patient confidentiality. As if to rub in it, Saunders called out to Aaron as he wandered away. “I'll see you Monday, like always!” Aaron ignored him, just kept his eye on the prize. He homed in on the lights on the ferris wheel, not even realizing that he was kicking a rock as he went along.
