Leila kept her face calm, "He used to be in our pack. He left but now he came back. And we are not going to attack," her gaze looked at him as she still ran, "We just are going to talk to him. As for Wildflower, her mother instincts kicked in and she is protecting the pups and I want to protect the pups too. What happens if we leave the Lone Wolf alone and he attacks us or the pups? Better to check then to be sorry later." She kept her eyes on the male wolf but would look straight when needed, then saying "If you don't like what we are doing, I suggest you go back." 

When she saw Wildflower increase her speed, she did also but she did look back at the male, but she forced to look forward then said "I'm on high alert." If one of them goes faster, she will also. She didn't want anyone getting hurt. She will increase her speed even if they do think they can take care of themselves. She isn't taking any chances.
