Yeaaah because its totally something the Terrans would do, bomb innocent civilians. /sarcasm
Yes. It is. Remember WWII? Do you think that bombs only fell on military bases? In every war, the civilians can be your worst enemy. They're the ones that build all the vehicles and make all the weapons, they're the ones that will be a thorn in your back because you just conquered their home. Besides, do you honestly think the Terrans would invade a planet? That's just stupid. They would have to transport millions upon millions of soldiers across light years of space over the course of multiple years, then lose the vast majority of them while trying to land their damn ships. After that, the remaining few would be fighting against billions of enemies in constant battle without any break, only to be finally taken out by aerial bombing. The only way for the Terrans to fight an offensive war is by killing every last thing from orbit. Think about it. The Iscandarians threatened to destroy humanity entirely, and the humans know for a fact that they are capable of it (since they gave them their current warp drive). That kind of threat isn't taken lightly, and so far there hasn't been any sign of the civilians trying to stop the genocide (Even the earlier rebellion is thought to have been faked). As far as humanity is concerned, this is a war of extermination. Either the Iscandarians or humanity goes extinct, and nothing else will ever end the war. So stop trying to tell me that I'm being unrealistic in my depiction of the humans. Also, never, ever tell me that I'm out of character. You suggested that the Iscandarians commit suicide after the lost one battle, you have no right to tell ANYONE that they're being out of character. In fact, new rule: Duck can't tell anyone that they're out of character! That's going in the OP!
Holy shit, what happened while I was gone? Anyway, yeah, we know that humans have a massive propensity for evil haha >:) I'll make a post later today. I find it important to mention, as there was talk about quadrants, that I like to think the Ghaj is actually from a different quadrant of the galaxy (one that's swarming with not si peaceful alien factions xD) and is colonising this one rather than the other way around
Heh heh heh. Humans will commit genocide if they feel like it's the right thing to do. Which is kind of funny, considering how they're currently committing genocide to redeem themselves from committing genocide. After this, however, they might get a wee bit arrogant.
