The light shone through the cheap curtains, but it was the smell of coffee which truly woke her. Kat rolled her eyes, but took the mug as she simply said “Droll and droller.” before taking a sip, but keeping her eyes on him. “You going to stay for breakfast?” He asked as he sat with his own plateful, taking a mouthful himself. “I shouldn’t, don’t want to raise suspicions on where I spend my sordid nights.” She stood, leaving the duvet where it was and placed the mug beside him instead. “Oh yes, the scandal, falling asleep in front of the television, god forbid anyone knows you’re a normal person.” She gave him a playful shove and stole a rasher of bacon before disappearing back into the bedroom to change. [center]-----[/center] Kat walked through the gates of the academy and into the building, navigating the halls with a practiced boredom. The earphones helped stop her look quite so coarse while simultaneously blocking out the mundane discussions that she would be forced to hear fleetingly otherwise. Ultimately ending up in the cafeteria she picked up some hot bread and honey, before taking a seat and opening a book, lazily flicking through the pages.
