"Oh, um, okay! Yeah!" Ti said to the back of her head as she descended the stairs that lead up to his door. "I will see you! Soon!" Sophia turned around, smiling at Tim one more time before she exited out of the door at the bottom of the stairwell. Tim stood in his doorway for a moment, taking everything in before he turned around and closed the door behind him. Silence settled over his apartment, enveloping it nearly completely, only being broken by the slight ticking of the clock on his wall. Tim let out a sigh as he walked over to his couch, flipping open his laptop as he settled down in front of the coffee table. His computer began to boot up slowly, and as it did, Tim pulled his jacket off, draping it over the back of the couch. He then felt his pockets, going for his phone. However, he first found the pocket knife that Sophia had given back to him. He barely remembered her borrowing it at all. He turned it over in his hands, observing it like he had done a million times before. It was small, the base of it carved out of wood. An etching of a raccoon's face was instilled in it. He flipped open the knife, a sharp blade, larger than your everyday pocket blade. He watched it reflect the light of the sun. He thought of how sharp it had been before. Shaking the thoughts out of his head, Tim quickly flipped the knife closed, opening the drawer of the coffee table and blindly throwing it in before shutting it hard. He reached for his laptop and started ticking away, focusing hard on not focusing on anything at all.
