I don't understand why they rejected it, but didn't have another idea for a character, so I said that it was fine and tried to leave.
Why do you feel like you need to make me seem like I'm pitching a fit over it?  Am I not allowed to ask you what I should have done when you accuse me of that?

Sounds like you are also trying to "score points" with your comments.  If the GM doesn't want to accept my character for whatever reason, fine, I'll accept that.  You coming in and acting like I started insulting people doesn't make you any better than what you're accusing me of, though.
