Of course, for a moment he was worried that she'd turn down his offer and why wouldn't she? He HAD come across a bit strong. She had the eyes of skeptic right then and he was certain... almost certain... (well he was internally cursing himself either way) that she was going to refuse. Several of the other tables upon the patio were occupied and a few were in favor of eager canines, turning expectant faces towards their owners and their full plates.
