[b]Company History[/b]
Telltales Interactive was founded in 1979 as an IT consultation firm by the name of Fischer Systems in Anaheim, California, by Dan and Marie Fischer. A programmer for IBM, Dan bought an Grapple II microcomputer which he planned to use to develop a Fortran compiler for. At the time, his wife Marie was playing text adventure games on the Grapple II. Dissatisfied with the text-only format, she realized that the graphics display capability of the computer could enhance the adventure gaming experience. After initial success, the duo's company was renamed Talltale Productions in 1989, and moved to Minato, Tokyo.
