“This shit will never get old.” Mike said to himself as he admired two balled up pieces of paper levitating over his desk where he sat. He smirked at his feat. Sure, it wasn’t spectacular, but Michael had learned from the military that the crawl, walk, run method was the way he learned best. Start off slow and keep it simple. Mike’s thought as he motioned his right hand up while motioning left hand down. One paper ball levitated higher, while the other dropped down to the table. Mike alternated a few times before Floyd’s key turning in the door startled him. Both paper balls fell onto the table before Mike’s high roommate stumbled in happy as can be. Sure, Floyd knew Mike had this weird power already, but it still felt weird being able to do something like this. He looked to Floyd and smiled with a head nod. He listened to his roommate go on about his day before being asked about his own. “Me? Well…” For some reason Mike needed a few seconds to get everything sorted in his mind. “Today’s been crazy as fuck. I tested my power out and ended up with a horny girl across the hall from us. It was too good to be true, and then… Fuck man, I gave this girl a ride. She started heating up… Like not like a fever! She was about to be the human torch. I fucking got away before I got barbequed. Did my radio show, which went amazing by the way, and then I came back here and saw you with some hottie.” Mike explained before standing up with excitement. “And guess how I saw her through your smoky ass car? I peeped into your brain and saw her face in your mind. Who was she anyway?” Mike said before standing over Floyd and putting his hands out towards him. He was attempting to keep Floyd pinned to the bed with telekinesis. “Tell me.” Mike demanded, but only to test something. He wanted to see if he could force the answer out of Floyd, whether it is vocally or another telepathic message. It seemed excessive, but Mike wanted to test his limits. He’d gone from crawl to walk in this moment. He could feel his head begin to throb a bit. He winced, but kept focus. If that was broken, Mike wasn’t going to be doing anything.
