The weights fell to the ground with a loud clatter, at the wave of hot emotion that washed over Kalinda.[b] "Jesus Nick, empaths in the room!"[/b] She shouted, rising, knowing she just needed to get out the gym now. 

In the fresh air, she felt better. She pressed her fingers to her eyes, taking three deep breaths. She knew Nicholas had feelings for Devika, but, hell some sort of warning would have been nice. It seemed like Devika was completely unaware about those emotions. 

She walked through the cool morning air, putting as much distance between herself, and the gym, and was soon immersed in the crowd of people getting food, their emotions seeming to settle and calm her.

Connor headed down to the cafeteria, despite the fact he wasn't that hungry, perhaps a first for him. He saw some of his classmates together at a table, and hesitated to go over, but just grabbed some food and grabbed an empty table.

He took out his phone, laying it on the table, after tapping on it for a moment, bringing up a search, testing out the satellite hacking he had installed for his suit, seeing If it worked. He set it to seath for both or either of his parents, and soon it showed his mother, going for her normal morning walk.
