Temple yawned and woke up slowly, then stretched. She glanced at the time and did a double take, then gaped when she saw her door wide open. [i]It's too early for this sort of thing,[/i] she thought, scratching her head through her thick curls. She got to her feet and cracked her back, then peeked cautiously out of the door. She shied back inside when a large gorilla ran past her, staring with wide eyes. When she saw the young girl holding on to the animal, she decided to step out and follow them at a safe distance. 
"What's...going on?" she asked, very softly.
