Autumn let out a cry, bolting straight up in her bed, panting as her eyes roamed the room wildly. She took a shuddering breath, trying to calm down. Just a dream. It was just a dream. But she couldn't get the image of her parents watching with emotionless expressions as she was dragged away into the dark. She shivered, remembering how she had screamed for them as the dark hands tore at her hair and clothes but they only watched as the abyss consumed her. She rubbed her eyes, her cell coming into focus. She blinked then her eyes widened when she realized the door to her cell was open. The little girl climbed out of bed then padded to the door on bare feet, dressed only in her nightgown. She peeked out, gasping when she saw other kids roaming around. He noticed his door open and jumped to his feet in surprise. He looked out and saw other kids outside of their cells. Acting quickly, Alastair found an unlocked office and filled a messenger bag full with notepad, pens and pencils. He then strode down the hallways looking for his sister.
