STC Tumen ( BH-828) Deep in Ahmun Sul territory The Lorcalike warship hovered ominously behind the Aradites. Scanning would conclude that the ship is at least 1km away, close enough to devastate the ship with weaponry but far enough to remove a chance of boarding. A careful commander would also note that the Lorcalike had its sensors trained on the ship and an hatches opened or weapons charging would be instantly noticed. It would soon be even worse... "Greetings Sir Du’fan, this is Comander Nikal of the Septonian Concordant, may we parley on this matter. I have many valuable oddities aboard that I have pillaged, maybe we can reach an agreement?” the Septonians sent... Hjanti brought his fingers to his face, balling his fists for a moment before pinching his nose. The sound of laughter on the bridge was near deafening. "All right, crew.. target their engine drives and all weapon batteries.. hell, use the cutting laser on their torpedo tubes.. Damn! melt every damn orifice on the ship aside from the escape pods." Some of the crew turned to their stations and it was only a matter of seconds. "Sir, targets locked." With a simple snap of his fingers, the Pirate ship fired only a few of their weapons but to devastating effect. Huge explosions would rock the Aradites out of their seats as any artificial gravity would be knocked off-line. Lights would turn off unless they had emergency ones. The drive core, not only the visible engine ports but the actual engineering area would've been hit directly. Turrets? gone. Aft firing torpedo tubes? melted shut. The ships initial barrage was well placed. These people were knowledgeable, straight up butt-holes who had obviously done this a thousand times. Only rudimentary communications and any forward facing-low end visuals would work at this point (unless it has physical windows). The pirates forced one last transmission through. "I'm not quite sure why you'd give me even more reason to take your ship." An audible chuckle could be heard, along with others in the background. "You see, I have no intentions of boarding your ship. Our scanners have penetrated your hull and I know where every single one of your people are." He took a deep breath. "Against my better judgement, I'm going to give you one last chance to make your way towards the escape pods. which I have located as well." Hjanti began strumming his fingers on the arm rests on his chairs console. He stood up and walked to his ships view screen then turned to his crew. "This is pretty damn ridiculous. It's like they think I'm stupid or something. Who the hell tries to parlay with pirates. I mean seriously." The crew laughed and then began talking about what they each intended to steal. Sad to say, that ship is pretty damn screwed.
