Takeshi could see this whole conversation was going to go nowhere fast, probably best to drop it. Convincing Shu that he was being silly and not just "himself" was going to be impossible, unless that really was just how he acted... Which it was. Gah, this is why he didn't argue with his brother, it just made his head hurt! Narrowing his eyes at the younger boy he gave his head a rubbing, looking back over at T'charrl as he was getting finished up. "Hn... You're still a goofball, just so you know. Even if that is how you normally are." It was nice to see their friend getting back into the swing of things, and maybe in just a few days time he would be as good as new. Whatever T'charrl's plans were for the future, traveling with them or remaining here he was going to need to be healthy for it. Yet again Shu brought up a question of his character, making Takeshi turn back as he smiled slightly frustrated. "I am plenty nice," he began, squatting down and prodding Shu in the forehead, "I'm a hell of a lot nicer than I used to be, and that's good enough. If other people don't like it then too bad." Pausing briefly he frowned, hanging his head as he let out a long winded sigh. "I am getting really tired of being hit, though... Starting to worry if I might suffer brain damage because of it." "You'd better bet your rear we'll come and visit!!" Takeshi said, getting back to his feet with a smile, "I don't know what your dad will want with us, but I won't say no. As long as he's not going to do anything weird like poke at us or examine us." That was probably more Katas' speed though; why did it always seem like the hyper-intelligent people were weird? It was thoughts like that which made him glad he was just average, otherwise he could be a total nutcase. Looking at the scouter being offered Takeshi snatched it right up, giving a nod as he slipped it into one of his pockets. "Sure, no problem. We'll come by first thing tomorrow to see you, okay? And we'll try bringing everyone else along too." If by some unfortunate chance this would be where they went their separate ways then it was best to bring everyone along, otherwise someone could be disappointed they didn't get to say their goodbyes. For now though they had better get moving, seeing as T'charrl would want to spend time with his family. Dinner on the ship then, not so bad. "We'll see you later buddy, have fun with your parents!" Takeshi added as he made for the door, pausing to look back at Renthal, "Stupid doctor..." Gasping as the same clipboard was thrown at his head he ducked under it, promptly slipping out of the room afterwards. Yumi couldn't keep her mouth closed any longer, and this needed to be said. Whatever reasons Viral thought that they were doing this needed to be cleared up, and he had to understand that this wasn't some kind of obligation. Any guilt he was feeling, any sense of his being a burden to them, all of that needed to be done away with. So maybe she shouldn't have slapped the Beastman like that, but it had gotten his attention at the very least. Going into a fair long-winded rant she ended with a few soft-spoken words, placing a hand on Viral's arm to try and convey that she really wasn't angry with him. "Viral... We want to help, and you know we want to help, but we can't do anything if we don't know what's going on," Yumi reaffirmed, smiling sadly, "Saying what's eating at you won't fix it, sure, but it'll make it so we can. Instead of bumbling around in the dark like we have been we can focus on what the real issues are, and things will get better even quicker. Just talking to us about it and sharing what's on your mind will make this so much easier, on everyone. And it's hard, but it's the first step to you really getting better." "The truth of the matter is that we won't abandon you no matter what might happen," Vegeta continued, smiling slightly, "I've been called a stubborn bastard before, and never before does it ring more true than now. I've not been working tirelessly to help you simply because I was asked by my father, or that I feel some sort of sense of obligation, but because I want to. I want to help you, as does Yumi and everyone else. But we're incapable of lifting so much as a finger until you tell us what you feel, and what you're thinking. The only person who knows your exact feelings is you, nothing we can do will truly tell us that much." This had to convey the point, otherwise there really was no way of opening Viral's eyes. There was frustration, but not directed at him, and there was sadness, but only sadness because of sympathy. He may not want their attention nor might he feel deserving of it, but it would come regardless. Watching as Yumi went ahead and gave a hug to the Beastman, Vegeta chuckled lightheartedly, rubbing at the back of his head. "This sentimental business really doesn't suit me... But what needed to be said has been said. If you can just talk to us then we can really get on the road to recovery. The only reason we've been so against your wishes so far is because we know that if we did as asked things would only get worse. We insist because we care, and because we're trying to help. All you need to do is let us in, and we can do the rest."
