Ok, so I looked briefly at the lore summaries and saw no mention of the US. Is it up for grabs? I had an idea for it as a new nation, it's in a sort of second civil war. The old ways (the real US) and The People For A New Way Armry. The PANWA as they call themselves see the current America as a shell of it's self, made weak by all these technological advancements, fast food and massive television watching events. Their end goal is to overthrow the government and replace it with a system of strictness and zero tolerance policies, the rich 1% are public enemy number 1 while the homeless are the people of tomorrow.
