Daniel watched the event play out in front of him, slightly confused. It had all happened so quickly, he didn't really have enough time to process everything that was going on before he realized that Yolanda was getting smashed across the face with one of the orderlies batons. He didn't necessarily react. His eyes kept that disinterested look, though his eyebrows were raised high on his forehead, an exaggerated frown on his face. But there was one thing that stood out to him. He tried his hardest not to notice that one of the creatures had decided to loom over Yolanda since they had entered the room. He tried not to notice that it was continually staring into her face, observing her expressions, observing her reactions to the conversation with some sort of childlike wonder and interest. When she got hit, she smashed into the ground hard. The creature stood over her. Daniel tried not to notice. But Yolanda noticed, and Daniel noticed her noticing. Her eyes went wide, her mouth dropped open, she was about to fucking scream. She sat up, her eyelids fluttered, and she passed out. The creature, disinterested now that she was sleeping, just sort of... disappeared. The orderly held his jaw for a moment, anger still flaring up in his eyes. Then he looked to Daniel. For a moment, he thought he was going to get hit as well. "Take care of that." he said, before quickly walking away. Daniel lifted his arms, shaking his head a bit. He stood up, lifting Yolanda up so she was leaned against his side. He started moving her back to her room.
