Name: Jackson Quincy Allbright Date of Birth: June 17th, 1986 Appearance: Hair: Rich dark brown, naturally wavy. Wear's it short-back-and-sides, with the top swept toward the right in an attractive wave. Eyes: Dark blue Complexion: Somewhat pale, with clear skin and few blemishes. Height: 5'7" Weight: 120 LB Blood Status: Half Blood, but related to a lot of pure blood families on his mother's side. Personality: A decisive and headstrong young man. It is difficult to sway him from his own path, and it's even more difficult for those who try to get in its way. He's always been one to stand his ground, and will do whatever he needs to in order to see his endeavors through to completion. He harbors a quiet hatred for Death Eaters and their ilk, and isn't sure where to direct his anger now that they've been mostly rooted out. Wand: Walnut, Dragon Heartstring. Imported from France, as Olivander was already in hiding when it was purchased. House: Gryffindor Best Classes: DADA, Muggle Studies, Potions Worst Classes: Astronomy, Divination History: Jackson's mother was a witch, and an auror, and his father was a muggle. During the war, Jackson's mother successfully hid her husband and younger son from the new order at the Ministry, but her eldest sone, Jackson, ended up being sent to school for his first year while Professor Snape was headmaster. As a Gryffindor in a new, Dark Arts sided regime he was often targeted by Slytherins and others, but he stuck it out through most of his first year and managed to deflect much of the malice directed at him by excelling in Professor Carrow's Dark Arts class. Even so, by May things were getting bad at the castle, and his blood status was cast into doubt when he couldn't(or wouldn't) give the name of his father. He ended up being taken in by the remnants of Dumbledore's Army, and hid for the rest of the year in the Room of Requirement, and fled with the other younger students when the Battle of Hogwarts started. With Voldemort vanquished, and the anti-muggle regime ended, Quincy Allbright(Jackson's father) was able to return from hiding. He took Jackson back into his house, and enrolled him in muggle school, having determined that the wizarding world was too dangerous for his children. With Hogwarts under repair, Jackson saw no alternative teacher, and realized he'd have to keep himself up to date in knowledge. He dragged his younger brother to Diagon Alley whenever he got the chance, and would trade both of their pocket money for sickles to purchase books, or potion ingredients. Or else they'd get a room in the Leaky Cauldron for a day so Jax could practice while his brother watched. He might never had returned to school, even when it reopened, if Hogwarts hadn't predicted exactly this reaction from muggle parents. Representatives from the Board of Governors were sent to muggle parents the summer before Hogwarts reopened, to reassure them that their children would be perfectly safe in the newly opened school. Quincy eventually, and reluctantly, agreed to allow both of his children to attend. In the end, he was swayed when Dana started showing signs of magic, and he realized that he wouldn't be able to raise two magical children when he was thoroughly unmagical himself. Name: Dana Zachary Allbright Date of Birth: April 20th 1988 Appearance: Hair: Light brown, straight. He dislikes getting a haircut, and as of the start of the year it falls over his ears. Eyes: Light gray Complexion: Pale, a little freckly around the nose Height: 5'4 Weight: 130 Blood Status: Half-Blood Personality: When he moves, he does so with great surety, but it often takes him a long period of deliberation. He's slow to act, and seems a little nervous about making decisions. It's not until the decision making is over that his nervous demeanor drops. Sometimes, quite unwisely some would say, he'll let someone else dictate what course of action is best, or else "leave it up to fate." Once a path is chosen, he'll stick with it, it's the choosing that he has trouble with. Has a good soul, and likes to lend a hand. Is intensely loyal to Jackson. Wand: Spruce with Phoenix Feather. Bought from a Wandmaker in New York, rather than Olivander. House: Hufflepuff Best Classes: You'll be First years, but I'm sure you have in mind what your character is good at. Worst Classes: These two are both extremes, so whatever isn't in either list you can be considered roughly average in. History: Jax's devoted younger brother. While Jackson was at his first year of school, Dana was in hiding with their father, for fear of being found by Death Eaters. At the time, he didn't really understand why they had moved to America, and was mostly concerned with the fact that his big brother wasn't there with him. His showing signs of magic was a big factor in his family's move back to Britain, and is the only reason that Jackson was able to return to Hogwarts when it reopened.
