Flippy felt the pain from being shot which was sudden and caused him to drop for a couple seconds since he wasn't use to a feeling like that. He picked up the blade Jared left him and got into a ready stance, but first backed up a bit just to see what went wrong with his own blade. It just seemed to have turned back into a regular practice sword which puzzled Flippy a lot.
