Not always. Most of the time he would be controlled by you. But I will specify when it is currently controlled by me. For example, he might be end up sick with something because he touched something he shouldn't have. But it would only happen if he triggered something specifically plot related. I wont go out of my way to control anyone's supporting character unless they did something specific to the sort that would alter their state of being.
