[hider=Pardon the Progress]The Guild is back in business, and looking ahead; it looks like a good year for us. Those of you still here, thank you -- the last year has been a rough one and this winter definitely was unpleasant. Those of you coming back after temporarily putting your RP's elsewhere, thank you as well; trust me, we all understand the idea of 'keeping RP's going' but we appreciate the loyalty inherent in statements like, 'we want to come back when it's stable.'

But if you want to do the Guild a solid, you can pass the word onto your buddies that you might be in contact with.

People might be wondering why we're building software from scratch rather than plunking down on a big fancy software package and the answer is simple; optimization. The guild costs money to run, and since mahz has the skillset to program it himself, he's aiming to create a website that uses less resources, ergo less money, than the old vbulletin and other commercially available forum software.

Right now, there's a topic up with his progress; new feature suggestions have been taken and implemented from [url=http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/75056-mahzs-dev-journal/ooc]this thread.[/url] As you can see, a lot of progress has been made – much of it fueled by user suggestions and user bug reports.
