Name - Diavolo/Doppio Age - Around 17 physically but is really 33 Gender - Male Species - Human Story - Jojo Bizarre Adventure Personality - As Diavolo-Diavolo has an aggressive and ruthless personality, highly disliking anyone seeing his true face, and will relentlessly hunt and kill those who do. He is willing to kill his own family and risk civilian lives to prevent his identity being discovered, and attempts to kill his own daughter to stop himself being discovered. His strong will to overcome his past lead him to creating one of the most powerful organized crime syndicates in Italy, and to keep his position as boss and identity secret Diavolo tortures and murders without mercy or discrimination. As boss of Passione he is highly respected, as Passione is outwardly a just organization dedicated to removing drugs from the streets of Italy. This is, however, all just a front for Diavolo's real plan to make his own drugs (made by Massimo Volpe) the only product on the market. Buccellati had also initially believed Passione to be doing good, and so felt a great sense of betrayal when this news was revealed to him. Diavolo is unforgiving of those conspiring against him, probably believing himself to be without fault, and has been shown to treat his subordinates cruelly if suspected of defection. He is even willing to put innocent lives at risk to achieve his goals and secure his identity. Like other main antagonists in the series, he uses the prefix I or Me (この kono?) to announce his name in a sign of superiority over others, often boasting that he is the Emperor and the one chosen by the arrow. His personality is split so completely that when Silver Chariot Requiem switches everyone's souls, Diavolo and Doppio adopt different bodies: Doppio in Buccellati's body, and Diavolo in Guido Mista's. As Doppio-While Doppio at first appears to be fairly clueless and harmless, he is not unable to look after himself. He has a friendly personality which should not be mistaken for naivety as he proves that he is a lot smarter and more resourceful than he looks. He is faithful to Diavolo and seems to be willing to do anything to help him. During his fight with Risotto he proves himself to be loyal to Diavolo, almost to the point of stupidity, as he refuses to escape when told so he can find out his enemy's secret and weakness. While at first terrified of what was happening, Doppio uses what resources he has and defeats Risotto with almost no intervention from Diavolo himself. He is seemingly unaware of their co-inhabitance and appears to consider himself Diavolo's underboss, as Diavolo only contacts him directly. Just before Diavolo takes control, Doppio claims his head hurts and warns people to keep away or stop touching him. After Diavolo has taken care any problems (i.e. killed the person asking about his identity), Doppio regains control once more, entirely oblivious to what transpired, and returns to what he was doing. As he dies, Doppio's last thoughts are of his boss. He remains faithful until the end and smiles, saying that if Diavolo is going with them he'll surely win and asks Diavolo to call him, remarking that he feels lonely. While some may ague that Diavolo is the more dominant of the two, it appears that he is merely the more ruthless as Doppio appears to be in control of their body more often than not, taking advice and orders where needed. Background Info - Diavolo was born in an all-female prison sometime in 1967, his birth is a mystery as his mother claimed that she had been pregnant for two years, and all the guards were female. Because she was unable to raise him while in prison, Diavolo's mother sent him to live in her home town of Sardinia with a priest. As he was growing up he was considered dim-witted and timid, but frank, and remarked that he wanted to be a sailor rather than a priest, which his guardian agreed would suit him. When he turned 19, as the priest was constructing a garage for him, he discovered Diavolo's mother buried alive next to Diavolo's room with her mouth sewn shut. That night a fire broke out, consuming every house in the village. Seven were listed as dead, including Diavolo and the priest. However he survived and created Passione soon after. During the same year his village burnt, Diavolo went on an archaeology expedition to Egypt. Upon finding six arrows, he quickly stole them and left, selling five to Enya for a huge sum of money and keeping the last one for himself (the same arrow attached to Polpo's Black Sabbath). After the events of Stardust Crusaders Polnareff and Jotaro set out to find the six arrows. Upon noticing the crime and death rates surrounding Diavolo's organisation were twenty times higher than average, Polnareff began investigating Passione and its leader. Diavolo easily defeated Polnareff, damaging his eye, right arm, and legs. Doppio is first seen in Sardinia, carrying a briefcase. In his introduction the audience is made to believe he is saving a child from being hit by a car, though it is later shown he barely took notice of the child and was actually saving a bug. After possibly subconsciously using King Crimson to avoid being hit by the car, Doppio caught the attention of a fortune teller. While at first sceptical, Doppio became interested in the man's fortune telling until the fortune teller tried to force him into letting him see his hands. After becoming panicked, Diavolo took Doppio's place and killed the man, leaving Doppio to chase his bug again afterwards (terrifying the small boy who was watching). After getting into a taxi and being conned by the driver, Doppio is met by Risotto Nero. In his rush to get away, Doppio smacks his face against a rock and bleeds profusely, getting blood all over his shoes. When Risotto asks what's in an envelope (containing a photo of Diavolo) he is lead to believe it is only a bit of rubbish as Doppio manages to stick the photograph to the bottom of his foot with his own blood. During the fight with Risotto, Diavolo tells Doppio that he has been loaned King Crimson's power in an attempt to encourage him to fight back. There is, however, no confirmed way of loaning stands other than Whitesnake's power, which indicates that Doppio could either use the whole of King Crimson from the start or his willpower was only strong enough to use Epitaph and one of King Crimson's arms. Doppio shows great determination to defeat Risotto despite his fear and despite Diavolo warning him to escape. He also proves himself to be very resourceful, using Narancia's Aerosmith and King Crimson in combination to shoot and kill Risotto. Upon arriving in Rome, Doppio is taken hostage by Secco, who is fighting Buccellati. As neither of them recognise him, Buccellati saves him by placing a zipper on him to punch through him and kill Secco without hurting him. As Buccellati had lost his sight and hearing Doppio easily fooled him into believing he was Trish, allowing him to be lead straight to Polnareff who was obviously wary of him. When Silver Chariot Requiem swapped the souls of the inhabitants of Rome his soul got switched into Buccellati's body, with Buccellati's soul going to Diavolo's body. After waking up from Silver Chariot Requiem's ability and standing, he was shot by Mista using Trish's body. Though Mista claimed his attack was not enough to kill him, Doppio died nonetheless.
