It had been a long time since Alison had been outside of her castle walls and even longer since she had been outside of her country but the young girl was on the run. Climbing out of the castle window was rather crazy; slipping through the gardens without getting caught by the guards was nearly impossible and getting through town without being considered ‘out of place’. The blonde’s hair was pulled back into a tight braid, her body covered by peasant clothes and torn up shoes. Getting through her home town was easier than the rest of the country. For people who don’t see others passing through their towns, they take notice rather quickly and hiding her personal features from her country-men was difficult to say the least. Anyone within the country could recognize the princess if she had her hair down and gave her bright and welcoming smile but… she couldn’t take the risk of being noticed. For young Alison was to be wed to an anthropometric individual from a neighboring country in order to stop the countless amounts of fighting and deaths. It was horrible, to say the least, but she did not like the idea of marrying someone she didn’t know, someone she didn’t love and someone she wasn’t even sure she could trust. How do you trust someone whose people had slaughtered her people in countless wars? Their ‘fathers’ thought it would be a good idea to have her marry one of the anthro king’s sons as a sort of peace making… What kind of fathers would force their children to marry someone they don’t even know? Apparently it was her father, giving up his only daughter… It took a while for her to get to the neighboring kingdom out of the reach of her father and her future husband’s family, it was a long journey full of sleeping in forests and keeping herself as small and unnoticeable as possible. She brought some money with her along with jewels she could use as trading for money and food. The journey was long and she had run out of food. The nearest town she had entered to was well away from the country lines and had a vast mix of individuals from countries all over the area. This was a social meeting ground were most people were happy and marry. Alison had exchanged some of her jewels for money and was able to sit herself at a bar-counter and order some food and a drink. This town didn’t seem too bad and she could possibly get settled in for a while before moving onto the next town, maybe even find a job. After sitting herself down, she pulled off her cloak’s black hood to reveal her soft pale face and fair skin, her bright blue eyes scanned the bar as she awaited her food and her fingers played with the length of her braid over her left shoulder as she observed the many different types of individuals that walked the bar laughing and smiling and talking with each other. That rare sight of anthros, humans and others mixing together and getting along. It was almost reassuring in a way but as the blonde turned her attention forward and a large mug of beer was placed in front of her, she knew that she couldn’t see herself in that world… not that world that would involve a non-existent love. Or maybe… maybe she was just being too harsh… who knows. All she knew at this moment was she needed food and to relax for a bit.
