Being ground into the earth wasn't the most comfortable of experiences, but I would soon wear the fool down, blunted by my spite. I just wanted a watch, a simple trinket that I loved the sound of so very much; the mechanism that revolutionized a great deal of the human technology. I wanted a conversation piece, -'Oh, sir! Where did you find such a striking facet of both practicality and beauty?' ='Why, in a game, my fair inquisitive...you! There once was a powerful dragon called 'Keeper' whose beauty was matched only by his love for time and its power over mortals. Perfecting his magic to keep time in his grip, some would think of him as a god, although...hm~ I wouldn't want to spoil an ending that didn't happen' -'Then you lie, sir! How can something end before it ends?' ='Why, if you keep it from starting, of course!' -'Hahaha! Clever...so, what was the game?' ='So simply, yet, by his rules, an impossibility...a staring contest~' -'Wow! And you beat a time lord in a staring contest...for a watch?' ~~~~~~~ The fires of Abraxas' spell licked at Insomnium, the fires quickly rending the darkness of his spikes from the demon's back. A thick black cloud billowed from his form as Keepa reformed, tumbling to the ground, their flesh alight as they quickly regrew the protective shell which contained their mass. With an agonized groan, Keepa pulled himself to his feet, shadows fading as even their clothes mended themselves. "Et habeant ad invicem, tunc..." (Let them retaliate upon each other, then...) he spat, limping a few steps before their legs finished at the joints, allowing him to throw himself into an alleyway to escape the chaos which was certain to draw the attention of his previous captors. In his state, he managed to drag himself half way into the ally for both cover and seclusion, a place to hide and process his stolen time. ~~~~~~~ And I would so coyly reply as I turn to let my skin shimmer in the evening sun, feinting walking away before seeming to take interest in the question, 'Oh? What watch? This mere bauble? Hoho! Well, do I have a story for you...~'
