Well, if the Abh ever get defeated in a war, they will slowly become modern Japan.

So, if you guys want more anime references than we already have, just win a war against the Abh and you'll get schoolgirls who are actually 20 or so running around with toast in their mouths. All of whom have giant machine guns, know how to operate tanks, and fly using magitech things they strap to their legs.
