[b]Background[/b]: 

Ben was a student at a University studying for a degree in software engineering. When this mess started he was visiting his parents at their new home in Riverside. He barely had time to get out of the house after the neighbours crashed through the back door and ate the family dog.

Ben had only been scraping by at university, lacking the motivation to do much other than sleep and party. Ben is a keen runner for two reasons: 1. To keep fit and 2) to sweat out his hangovers.

He's doesn't know anyone in town having just visited for the first time so he has been quite lonely during his stay in Riverside. However he was probably going to be meeting a lot of more of the townspeople in the days to come: both alive and dead.
