Six AM, sharp. First routine: Activate the main body. It would need a few minutes to full boot up which in the mean time Yuga would use to check what her tasks for today was. She got a list from the company: First she would need to run a diagnostic on her body as well as her systems. She already did one last week, but this was protocol. Secondly she'd need to head down to the main office to pick up her Memory Banks. One was general knowledge, another was a combat Memory Bank for her main body, and lastly a blank Memory Bank. Yuga could guess from the blank Memory Bank that they wanted her to observe everything she can about the academy. Fair enough she supposed, she would like to learn as well. Once her body was ready Yuga loaded herself through the Main Terminal and into her lithe and robotic frame. The first place Yuga headed to was the machine shop. It was a factory setting where hundreds of robotic bodies were being made, but unlike Yuga they were "Cheap" service androids, not nearly as sophisticated as her body was. They wouldn't even be getting an AI. Yuga saw some of her siblings along the way and greeted them silently by sending them her list of tasks for the day, while she obtained theirs. Similar to her own but they were heading to different parts of the shop for different needs. Yuga wondered why she was only given three tasks for today, but she figured that after she reported in she would be given her other tasks. Once Yuga arrived at the machine shop a familiar face came up to her. "'Ello there lassy, ready for your check up?" Yuga nodded her head at the mechanic. "I am ready." Stepping onto a platform Yuga waited patiently as mechanical arms came out of the ground. The first thing they did was remove Yuga's auxiliary limbs from her back and dismantled them on a separate table. Than another arm came out and held Yuga aloft by the base of her neck as her legs were removed and also taken apart. Next was her arms, than her torso, leaving Yuga as a severed head floating by a robotic hand. And even that didn't last too long before it was placed on a table with the mechanic from before. "Just going to shut this off right quick Yuga, you won't even feel a thing." The life in Yuga's eyes died down as she returned to the cyberspace she called home. Here Yuga would have her system diagnosis. Although she lacked the physical organs, she could almost year the scientist crunching through her code to find errors. At the same time she heard, or saw, someone speaking to her. This was a different sort of test: This was the Personality test were they made sure Yuga could reliably handle a situation on her own, without relying on someone else to give her directions. "Good morning Yuga. Please answer the following questions..." This diagnosis lasted about two hours, ending exactly at eight o'clock AM. By the time she was back into her body Yuga looked new and squeaky. "Oh? What is this?" Yuga felt around on the back of her head and moved her fingers over three slots. The mechanic there smiled at her while wiping his nose with his greasy glove. It defeated the purpose of trying to keep his nose clean. "Added extra ports for yer Memory Banks Yuga! Before you've only been able to access one at a time, but this time we've managed to fit two more on ya. This way you don't have to keep hybridizing memory banks and just use three to their full potential. Now that being said, if you aren't going to use one of them we recommend cover them up with a port plug. You know how it is, stick anything else in there and well... Things could get messy." Yuga nodded her head stoically as she looked at the ports through a mirror. "I understand." With that out of the way Yuga headed on over to her main office. It was very far away from the Machine Shop where she just was, and much quieter. Yuga actually had to wait for a bus to pick her up. The driver was a crusty black man who gave Yuga a polite greeting before waiting a few more minutes for more passengers. Two more robots joined, neither of them related to Yuga but they sat next to her anyways. Eventually some humans came onto the bus chatting about finally getting their sleep. Morning workers no doubt, been here since one AM. The only noise came from them as the bus moved across a wide open concrete plain and into another building. There was a sign next to a set of double doors that read out, in English, "ARISAWA TECHNOLOGIES". There was a lot of bird poop on it. The robots sitting next to Yuga stood up first and headed strait to the sign, their task apparently being to clean it. Yuga bid them a silent farewell as she entered the main building to find the main office. Following a familiar path Yuga stood before a large imposing door. It was not a normal door made of wood with a door handle or such silliness, but a titanium steel alloy gate that could only be opened with a key card scan and a voice prompt. Neither which Yuga had or needed because someone opened the door form the other side. "Just on time Yuga Abubu." Sitting at a large wooden desk was a sharply dressed woman, her brown hair tied up in a bun and her face adorn with a pair of rimless glasses. She took out a small metal box which Yuga took. Than Yuga picked up a pen just as the women took out a slip of paper. Yuga signed it with her signature, taking the effort to put two little dors above the "u" in her first name. It made it look like a smiley face. Once that was finished Yuga did not leave just yet. She had obtained her Memory Banks now, what was her next tasks? She asked the receptionist. "Excuse me... Was there anything else I was tasked to do today?" The lady looked away at her computer for a moment before taking out her phone and scanning it for any notes. She spotted something and started working on her computer a bit and in a few seconds she turned to Yuga. "Yes, there's a Griffon waiting for you at the front entrance. Today's the big day, isn't it Yuga? Your second year at the Academy! Aren't you excited?" Excitement. That was the emotion of feeling a great amount of enthusiasm and eagerness about something. Was Yuga excited? "Very. It would be good to go back." A little white lie. Yuga would not regret going back to the Academy, but she would miss the Company. Communications with them at the Academy was limited to deliveries and the occasional email due to blocked frequencies from the Black Gale. And not only that but Yuga was actually a bit worried about going to the Academy. She had did fairly well for herself the first year thanks to superior firepower, but she had left her combat chassis at the Academy. Granted, it was being well maintained, but she felt that this year she could go for a upgrade. She disliked how she lacked melee options and know that striking her opponents with the barrel of her guns were a good way to damage them severely. She made these thoughts known to the company of course, but she also knew that they had yet to implement any plans into upgrading her Combat Chassis. She supposed it wouldn't matter. She would be working with a team now, who ought to be able to make up for what she lacks. Hopefully. Yuga met the griffon at the front entrance, a large majestic beast from Lucis. Before mounting she opened the metal box she had taken from the receptionist and inserted the Memory Banks into her ports. She could feel the information rush into her head and it was sensational. Never before has she ever had access to more than one memory bank at a time. She could feel her body move on it's own in reaction to various attacks, as well as a bunch of random trivia and factoids about everything from mathematics to Western Literature Arts and Psychology to Instrumental Music. A lot of generally niche information that Yuga may have no use for, but better safe than sorry. Once she had gotten over the initial euphoria of the Memory Banks Yuga wordlessly mounted the Griffon and headed through the Black Gale. "I wonder if anything has changed since I last went through here."
