Maria watched the guy move, and now he was even faster. [i]How does he keep speeding up like that?[/i] She thought, trying to avoid his grasp. Then she noticed the piece of paper flying faster than it should be. [i]I see now, it's not him that's getting faster, it's ME that's getting slower.[/i] However, knowing this didn't help her out of the situation, and nothing she could think of besides breaking her promise would. She raised her hands above her head and stopped moving. "I give up, you win." She said, reaching her hand into the pocket with the money and taking it out.
