Kijani murmured something soft. She wasn't sure if it made it past her lips before she dropped asleep. "I love you... I wish I hated you so... so you could be... free..."

Devika was out in the open, walking. She felt rather shaky, like something very bad had happened. Of course, a lot of  bad had happened just this day, so perhaps it was just residual emotion from the school's population.
