Upon its surface, however, appeared a being of flat stature, in a literal sense: The 2d being had been human-shape, but the similarities stopped there. While in its current state it wasn't obvious, the being's construction could be summarized as sentient light. Said light also formed a robe around itself, complete with a hood. Said hood seemed to be a mockery of physics, casting a shadow that essentially left the light-being Faceless...

The Faceless had by all accounts been speaking to itself, establishing the situation from its stance. By all appearances it was utterly unafflicted by the nanomachines, seeing as its form wasn't of physical nature.

Confirming the decision mentally, The Faceless shifted phase once more, the action seeming effortless as it went from the second dimensional state to the third. Alongside such, five portals had appeared surrounding the being, each of the earth-rending maws different in coloration. While the yellow one had a distinctly low-power but quick-spawning energy to it, the grey one emanated an ominous miasma...
