Jube smiled and looked at the book she had chosen. "Ah, the dragon shifters." Jube opened the book up eager to read to Kes.

"For many centuries the infamous breed roamed the Earth. The clan was made up of ruthless killers, and humanity lived in fear of them." Jube read in a way that gripped his listeners.

Jube continued reading. "It wasn't until recent years the dragon clan had been faced with their greatest threat: the dragon slayers. They were a breed of humans with unnatural strength, and immunity to fire."

"One brave warrior, Jonathan Barron of the dragon slayers army, managed to slay the very last of the dragon shifters, putting an end to their vile acts." He looked at Kes, "I wonder how terrifying that battle had been... I'm almost glad I wasn't there." He closed the book. "shall I read on about more legends or not?"
