RP Ideas [hider] Okay, I'm just going to start this off with a little talk. Basically, I've been on this site for awhile, and I love it. At the same time, I'm not sure my writing, GMing, scheduling and multitasking. Also, I've been in and have the CS's cataloged for 94 RPs here. So since I'm almost at number 100, I want to make sure I can see and show actual improvement. SO, that being said most of my interests spawn from either 90's nostalgia or popular media and I feel I can write the best using them. I also like having fun and these ones always seem to be fun and overly popular. I don't plan on having more than 8 people in these because it gets way too complicated for myself. If I do start accepting more, I would need a co-gm. Most of the ideas can also be turned into 1 x1's (I've recently become very interested in doing them) for those interested and anyone can take from these ideas for their own. Just leave a link so I can join. Anyways, onto the RPs… Honestly, just type any of your favorite things into the Find bar and I'm sure you'll find something here. Oh, and I would want original characters for most/all of these. -Assassin's Creed- (Quick Notes: I've only completed the first game, but I'm still mesmerized by them and read short synopsis on them so I can understand the plots better. A little confused, but interested still.) New Order: Set in either Rome or London in medieval times, a new Assassin's Guild is established. In either location we find a connection to our newest mission is related through the Church, so we steadily have to make our way through the cities to take out key members and find another Pieces of Eden. Reality's Dream: In the modern day, apprentice Assassins are left on there own after an invasions from the Templers at their home base. Now with new technology and increased skills, they must revisit the lands of the original Rogue Assassin, Altair Ibn Ia-Ahad. ________________________________________________________________________ -Dragon Age- (Quick Notes: Played all the games, know all the main characters and races, havenn't read the books but I hear they are great as well. Each RP is based in the region of each game.) Race Matters: With the Darkspawn now in shorter supply races have began to turn on one another. The only connection they still have are the Wardens. They have small groups of mixed-race groups travelling to settle disputes of Fereldens people. You're New Home: After the destruction of Lothering, you are one of the few who has survived the journey and made it to Kirkwall. Tensions are high between many in the city. Together, there may be ways to settle the dispute peacefully or help a side prevail. ________________________________________________________________________ -Fable- (Quick Notes: Played all games. Love the universe. Have yet to get through more than 2 posts in a Fable RP so I would love to see one take off.) Reaver's Gift: Based on Fable 2 and 3, the new Heroes find the secret to Reaver's longevity and try to undo it to save the lives of many innocents. Heritage: Can be in any time of the 3 games really. Orphans gather together, wondering on their origin. Finding a book in the bookstore in Bowerstone, they begin a journey to discover their connections to Heroes of old. ________________________________________________________________________ -Halo- (Quick Notes: Played all the games, love 'em. I'm not very great with military information or jargon, but The Haloverse always interests me.) Reach's Heroes: In a hopeless situation, Virtue Group is fighting against all odds with no hope of success. The only use they have is halting the invasion for as long as possible before the inevitable… Earth's Helljumpers: ODST. Dropped from space to be the last hope for Earth. What can they do in the shadows of their destruction. Much more of a sniper and covert rp. ________________________________________________________________________ -Avatar: TLA- (Quick Notes: Watched the series. Love the ideas and forms brought for each element.) Past's that Bind: After many years of peace, the now Steampunk era of the Avatar world is on the brink of war. Dual bending has sprouted up in many people and the Avatar is still present in the world. The Water Tribes have turn against the others, quickly gaining the alliance of the Earth Kingdom. Now the Fire Nation and repopulated Air Nomads must fight together like the legendary Avatar and Fire King of old stories and balance the world again. Gathering the Lotus: While the Avatar was fighting the Pheonix King and Zuko was battling Azula, The White Lotus gathered to take back the Earth Kingdom. This is the story of the brave people that fought through their hardships to defend their free world. ________________________________________________________________________ -Digimon- (Quick Notes:Watched the first 4 seasons. Not much to say besides that if I didn’t like it, I wouldn’t want an RP of it.) Biomerge: In the human world teenagers have been commonly finding digieggs and becoming Tamers. With few to stop the children and the invading digimon, some will stand up to fight the darkness while others embrace and turn from humanity and peace. Spirit Evolution: In the digital world and human world, crossovers have been more and more common. A cactus replacing a fire hydrant, a poodle replaced with a cloud, a human with a digimon. The dark powers responsible on both sides need to be stopped, but only when Human and Digimon unite… ________________________________________________________________________ -Marvel- (Quick Notes:Read the Marvel Wikia, seen the movies, read a couple comics. Such a large and varied universe always has surprises.) Ultimate Alliance: Using the story of the Ultimate Alliance games as a layout, a team of 2 - 6 head the fight the greatest villains known in the world. The Rings: The Mandarin's rings have been taken by Tony Stark and given to some of his interns, designing them costumes that can help control and run off the power from them. When they try to begin their crime-fighting, Mandarin will be there to try to get his rings back. ________________________________________________________________________ -Transformers- (Quick Notes: Watched enough different stuff that I can ) Alone: Like the new movie, I would like an RP that is almost completely Humans against Transformers. I will allow 3 Autobots to be CSed, but the rest will be all "extras". No enemy Transformers unless you can convince me otherwise. The Past Conflict: Not sure what time period, but before the industrial age but after prehistoric I would like to have a Beast Wars type scenario. Depending on the era I would allow things such as cannons, wagons, and any other ideas you would have for non-animalistic Transformers. ________________________________________________________________________ -Pokemon- (Quick Notes: Games and anime all. These are more detailed because I've put them into action before.) Giovanni's World: Another story that I liked and wanted to get farther, but again it didn't get as far as I wanted it too. … It has been three years since Team Rocket toppled the government and kicked off a brutal police state. The people who know the most about Pokemon have been killed or made to work for The Rockets, and the same has happened to well known and powerful trainers. The creation of poke balls and potions has been regulated so severely that they may as well be said not to exist, and the lay person has no chance of obtaining new ones. The people and Pokemon who were farthest removed from big cities stayed safe the longest. The smart ones destroyed mountain passes and kicked off whirlpools in trafficked waterways to slow the progress of The Rockets, to buy time to hide. The people who have fared best are the ones who were never seen as a threat to The Rockets, the kids who were new to being trainers when they took over. Adults hurried the children away into the wilderness with all the potions and poke-balls the kids could carry. These children have relied on their Pokemon to keep them alive, and have had almost no connection to what The Rockets call society. They know that if they are found, they and their Pokemon will most likely be slaughtered. They hide and train in secret, hoping that someday everything will go back to normal. You were one of those children, were you not? What is your story? From Beginnings to Ends: A classic Start in Kanto, travel the world, create your loving team. You would start with the Choice of the 3 starters of Kanto or either a Ditto, Eevee, or Porygon. I feel giving 3 unique options for Starters along with the 3 original make it more interesting. The Elites: This idea worked out very well, but it didn't get too far because of…. many reasons. Here is the summary: The entire Pokemon world has decided to have a new Elite group for Pokemon Trainers to become masters fighting. However, this new group will be a total of 8, calling them the Elite Eight, EE, or E8. To decide who will be in the Elite Eight there will be a tournament of 16 people, each with a team of one type of Pokemon. There is just enough for this to work, which is great. There will be NO repeats. If someone else got Ice, then you have to choose something else if that's what you want. There are ver few team exception that I would allow to the type teams. Those would still follow a pattern, like an Eeveelution team. That is the only example I can think of actually, so that will be the only exception unless I can we swindled in less than two post (As I HATE the people that continue to try to annoy a GM). In the same fashion, we would narrow the choice down to a single region and that region would be the only Pokemon allowed to be on a team unless your type wouldn't have enough. The new twist for this RP is a new element in fighting. First, before the battle starts you and your opponent will agree to either a one on one, two on two, or three on three battle. The two choices will be added, divided, then rounded down to pick the number. Second, every Pokemon must be fully evolved (Unless I can be sold on the reason again) and can know up to 6 moves. Fly and Surf and others like those won't be considered using an attack, just a natural ability. Third, these will be in depth battles on changing battlefields. Sometimes in your favor, sometimes not. I'm picking them at random, so pleas don't bitch me out for it. Forth, There will only be 8 people in either RP involved and I'll play the NPCs that you battle. I'll just use characters that already exist, such as Koga and Lt. Surge. Fifth, there will be another element. It's called a Fuze attack. You wil be given a gauntlet that will be designed in your own Type way. In every battle, you will have 5 Fuze Points, or FPs. With these each point you can combine an extra move with a move you are already using. For Example: For Venasaur, you could use one FP to combin Hyperbeam and Solarbeam. Using these two would let Venasaur fire Hyperbeam during the first turn while Solarbeam is powering up. It would be stunned for a shorter amount of time and then would use Solar beam. Another example would be Emboar. Using 2 points, Emboar can Bulk Up, then use Overheat and Head Smash to become and even more devastating move. I will ask you to describe what happens and give the new attack a name, just for fun. Make sure to use obvious physics when doing this. Say these two Pokemon battled and used the FPs. The two beams would slow down Emboars charge quite a bit, but the attack would most likely hit and K.O. the large and slow Venusaur. ________________________________________________________________________ -Power Rangers- (Quick Notes: Watched most of them. The most recent ones can suck my… yeah.) Zordon's Heirs: Courage, Honor, Wisdom, Compassion, Loyalty, Spirit. The Six qualities that made up Zordon before his unfortunate death. Now, with new evils invading the Earth, these qualities must be found in 6 humans to create new rangers to defend the Earth. ________________________________________________________________________ -Yu-Gi-Oh- (Quick Notes: Watched all of the original, some of GX, very little 5Ds and no Zexal. Play the game like crazy. Stole the second idea from Matt) 10th Anniversary Duelist Kingdom: 10 Years after the first Duelist Kingdom, Pegasus has reopened the tournament for the newest challengers. Using the current or traditional format duelists will face each other on the fields of one of the largest tournaments the world has ever seen for a million dollar prize and a duel of the lifetime. Spirit Battles: Basically, you play a Duelist, but not a conventional one, you have 3 monsters that you can use, when summoning one, they possess you and you use their power to fight other duelists or opponents. when they possess you, you basically turn into that creature, but you are fully in control. you can have 5 magic and trap cards to use. you choose them when you start and can use them only once per match. Fusing does not require a Polymerization. Rules: you may only use 1 Monster at a time. you may switch to another of your 3 monsters at will the way fusing works is that you fuse your creatures together then you become the creature, you must also be possesed by one of the creatures the is being fused at the time. Synchronising is also allowed, but you need one of the creatures that your not using to be a Tuner creature. you may have up to 2 characters at a time, but don't feel obligated to. if you Synchro or fuse creatures together, then you may not become the creatures you used for the summon (E.G. if your 3 creatures are Elemental Hero's Avian, Burstinatrix and Sparkman, and you play polymerisation to fuse Avian and burstinatrix to get Flame-wingman, then you cannot change to avian or burstinatrix unless the creatures are de-fused by an effect, however, you will be able to change to sparkman, and as sparkman, you will be able to change back to Flame-wingman. same with synchro's) you have to start off with level 4 or below creatures, as the story progresses, these creatures will evolve to similar creatures of a higher level similar to Digimon, they start as something small and turn into bigger things, but can revert to smaller things if need be (E.G. start with a "Hero Kid" then evolve to "Elemental Hero Neos-Alias" then to Elemental Hero Neos.") Whilst outside of battle, your creatures remain in spirit form, they are able to communicate with you and other duelists. ________________________________________________________________________ -Zoids- (Quick Notes: Watched all but the final one which is in Japanese. ) The Brink: The planet Zi has seen much war at the hands of the Helic Republic and Guylos Empire. Towns remain in shambles, the governments try to clean up their mess and many inhabitants of the planet have no choice but to cling to hope. Amidst the chaos, however, something new emerges from the war's wake: the Zoid Arena. The Zoid Arena is an underground franchise which pits teams of pilots against each other for fame and reward. Spectators make bets on their favored pilots and in some cases, gang wars have triggered because the the sport's popularity. Although the government is aware of its presence, the Arena is difficult to track down because it has no 'set' location. Likewise, its teams are ever elusive and the police have just about lost interest in trying to bring them to justice. You will find yourself as one of these Zoid Arena combatants, making your history with every battle you fight, every choice you make. Which team are you on? Rogues in Peace: On the planet Zi, there are mechanical creatures that have been used for years to define the outcomes or competitions and wars. Centuries after the final war, there was peace between nations. Even now, however, battles are still fought and plans are being made to start another war. The newest ruling faction, The Brose Republic, has been trying to keep peace. The Proben Empire has been trying to start the war, slowly gathering momentum and support through random raids and their advanced Zoid factories. We are a small group of mercenaries. Since the end of the last war, Mercenaries have made great profit by signing up for jobs with any side possible. While peace would keep us alive, war gives us profit, so we are not picky about the jobs we pick. This doesn't mean we have no sense of honor. Jobs against unarmed citizens and other defenseless people is a disgrace to any decent merc group. Take up any position of use that you think will be helpful, whether it is one of the mercs, med personnel or a tactical/engineer. ________________________________________________________________________ -Pirates- (Quick Notes: not sure if this would be directly related to the Pirates movies, but in general a Pirate role play is what I am thinking.) Race Against the Armada: On a new frigate of a ship yet to be named, a crew wakes up together and has to decide where to go. They are found by the Armada's Lt. Colonel who is both confused and dislikes them. After being locked in the brig, the crew escapes and heads for their only chance for freedom. Incomplete idea. ________________________________________________________________________ -Harry Potter- (Quick Notes: Read the books, seen the movies, wrote and read fan fiction.) The Dark Years: During the years of Harry Potters time at Hogwarts there were many other students going through their own rough patch. In their 7th year, they faced the school being taken over by Death Eaters, unable to stop the takeover. Now, they must find out how to survive this year with their spirits and bodies intact. Foreign Affairs: Not 100% about this yet. I want to do a separate school of magic, but cannot think of an original enough location and plot idea. Any help is appreciated. ________________________________________________________________________ -The Lost Years of Merlin- (Quick Notes: Loved all the books of both of the series. A versatile world. ) Fincayra: Through the years of Merlin's training in his home away from home, many races traveled the land, helping and hindering the hero. Each Song learned by the Wizard is known by the living beings of Fincayra and must be passed to worthy successors, but the most terrifying news of all is the darkness that not even Merlin knows is approaching. Avalon: Tamwyn, the heir of Merlin, has friends in many high and low places. They gather, preparing for war and pulling off missions to help the shift of power for good. Yet forces continue to pour in from dark corners, new races coming forward to bring along chaos into the slowly ruined world. ________________________________________________________________________ -Star Wars- (Quick Notes: Movies, Yes. Some games. As much as I love the series the stuff you find outside of the movies is also inspiring.) The Force Be With You: As a youngling, you slowly grow into the vision of perfection: a Jedi Master. For years you spend time going through the Trials and earning your keep in the world. Before you grew too far though, Count Dooku, or Darth Tyranus, approaches you and wants you to join his growing force of Sith. This decision will change your life and the slant of power in the Force. Purges and Renegades: Even the grunts are important in the fight between good and evil. When Order 66 was given all Clone Troopers were forced to kill the Jedi Knights they had worked with for years. However, even some bonds of friendship were stronger than orders. Gelphin Squad was one of them, leaving their Jedi and her child in peace before turning back to fight the now ________________________________________________________________________ -Zombie Apocalypse- (Quick Notes: Read the Zombie Guide and Day By Day Armageddon.) Day By Day: After hearing about the breakout and seeing some people downtown acting strange, a few neighbors unbeknownst to one another begin to prepare for the worst. When the worst hits, they will need to band together to survive in a world with the few skills they each have. They can stay and try to start a paradise or move on into an unknown world.
