Well I see him as more or less a good guy. Albeit a slightly deluded one. He'd be willing to break into an enemy base to steal information or the like and probably call it "corporate espionage" or some such to justify it to himself like it's a military operation (He served in the military. I'll get to that when I finish his cs) and it's for the greater good...But he'd probably have a hard time justifying joining a group called "Illegal Stuff Pty Ltd" to himself. Awesome as that name is.

I suppose he could always be completely unaffiliated at the start of the arc and he could be recruited by someone.
