He has never though about it, simply because he knows that is what not what Lacie would want. And while killing himself WOULD be an option, he doesn't know himself that killing himself would release Lacie's soul. Also, it would release the Jabberwock back into the world, so him killing himself is a lose-lose situation for everyone involved :p.
