Sorry about the inactivity recently.... One way or the other, I've really not been in a very postie sort of mood as of late. Please be patient, and don't swim across the north sea to strangle me plix? I'm hoping that by next week I'll have pulled myself out of my funk, and will get back to...whatever it is that Li is planning. She has a plan. Honest. Also, daww. -Hugs teh Rithy back-

Thanks for the compliment, Ater. We like to think that we are doing something right, considering the lifespan of our RP :) (which I believe we are the longest-lived RP in the entire advanced section)

Um. Hi. Sorry. :(

Some real life issues came up, (Was preparing to go to Afghanistan) and I was wondering if I could hop back in. If you'll have me, I'm dreadfully sorry. :(

Hey,

Although we were surprised by your sudden absence, I believe there is a consensus that we were quite happy with your RP style while you were still with us. Indeed, we viewed it as quite a shame that you happened to disappear, because you really had potential.

Yet considering that you were heading to such a hot bed as Afghanistan, I don't think we can hardly blame you for any sudden disappearance. Whether your work was military or civilian, I can imagine that it must have been stressful either way.

Also, it's not like any of our own little trio are guilt free of sudden hiatuses and AWOLs ourselves :P

I believe I speak for both Ri and Fey when I say that we would be happy to have you back in the action. I believe your character is still alive, the greatest threat to her at the moment being the ineffectual bureaucracies of Stormwind and the violent tantrums that they may inspire :)

That's good to hear. Perhaps it might be good to also fast-forward a little bit, considering the time that has passed :P

Good point. I'll edit that in now. For the Feast, right?

Or perhaps I'll have her jump in the middle of what's going on now, mind a quick synopsis? o.o

I can give a quick summary :)

Around 2 to 3 days have passed since you left I believe, and it's midnight. Sharon, Liaena and Rithrynn have launched a rescue operation against Sherpa's (the death Knight's) castle of Honor's Watch(currently being constructed and almost finished) positioned at the top of a reef at the outskirts of Stormwind harbor, which is manned by the White Hand, the mercenary organization whose head is the dark human mage Sevarian, Sherpa's right hand and closest ally.

The goal of their operation is to rescue Kathlin, an old acquaintance and friend of Liaena who was captured by the White Hand for delving too deep into the murder mystery of Stormwind's Royal Economic Advisor.

Sharon, Liaena and Rithrynn are not alone in their mission however. With them, they have Serphia, the Night Elven Captain whom Rae'liel got into a fight with, as well as eight of her warriors. Sharon has also acquired some mercenaries of his own. One is called "Smokey" Bart Khel, a dwarven ex minor and demolition expert. He also used to be part of the assassins who earlier in this RP tried to kill Sharon. The other is a shadowy woman named Alissah, an old acquaintance of Sharon. Used to be a part of the Scarlet Crusade's inquisition, but now is a freelancer who specializes in dealing with threats revolving around demonic or dark magic. Liaena also enlisted some help from the Church of the Light as well, but the help was rather meager, in form of an untried and young priest, Liam, and the light apprentice Bella, an old rival, nemesis, 'cool-kid' and also one who's combat experience does not exceed that of hair pulling and slapping fellow apprentices.

Their opponents in this raid, the White Hand, are a mercenary group consisting of professional soldiers, most of whom are veterans from Stormwind's army and navy as well as that of the northern kingdoms. They are well equipped with both modern steel and mithril armor and weapons, and are the most uniformed outfit in the city. Most of them prefer quick and light melee weapons & firelock weaponry due to most of them being ex marines & sailors, but they still have a number who specializes themselves in the use of heavier armor and weapons. The White Hand is also the mercenary outfit in Stormwind with the highest amount of (battle) mages per member short of pure mage outfits, something that makes them very dangerous and absolutely devastating against opponents who have no magical defense of their own.

The group spread up into two parties and entered the fort from different entrances. Liaena and Bella shrunk themselves down to ride their owl (Hester she's called) in through the cove at the bottom of the reef, while Serphia lead the rest to scale the reef and enter from the top.

They have been fighting and sneaking their way towards each other ever since, and with the latest post, just recently met in the catacombs below the fort.

While most of the action takes place in the fort, the Red Vanguard, another mercenary outfit who doesn't very much like the White Hand, have coordinated with Sharon & co to stage an angry riot against the White Hand's recruitment headquarter & offices in the Cathedral District of Stormwind as a distraction. Having gathered a little over a hundred citizens, veterans, hooligans, thugs and looters and boozed them up back at their own alehouse, they have since put on civilian garbs and marched towards the offices to cause a riot over there; trashing the windows, knocking down doors and looting the White Hand's offices, whose main line of defense consisted mostly of tired secretaries and underpaid bureaucrats. The Stormwind city guard has arrived to try to take control of the situation, but are currently too few in numbers to deal with the drunk mob.

I think it might be a little difficult to think of a reason why Rae'liel might be in the castle with the main party. On the other hand, I do not know where she and her knights have rented their rooms either. Perhaps they might be sleeping just next to the angry riot that's taking place in the Cathedral district :P

Hm. Something of the sort. Sure...the angry riot is workable. But the infiltration mission sounds better. I can edit that easily...

Would Sharon object to Rae'liel and her company of Knights getting dropped from above?

Are you thinking about an aerial entry of the castle?

That's also possible.

However, be warned; Sharon & co have long since managed to stir the hornet's nest, both parties having failed on stealth completely. Which means that the fortress's garrison will be on full alert and maximum readiness.

Aerial entry will be possible. Though it will be up to Rae and her friends to not get completely obliterated by the wave of magical spells & missiles, flak and other projectiles that will surely be thrown at them as they approach.

In other words, they will be going in (very) hot :P

Going in hot?

I like the sound of that. High altitude jumps followed by Paladin Magic to prevent fall damage. They'll come in like meteors.

Is that agreeable to you? ^___^

Whether you choose to use parachutes, barrow a magical scroll or simply make use of some obscure gnomish or goblin device to (hopefully) survive the fall, it doesn't much matter.

I like the idea, and think you can go with it :)

Sharon and the rest of the group are quite deep within the caves that fill up the inside of the reef below the fortress. Although they might not be expecting Rae'liel, I'm sure they'll be happy to greet whatever of her or her entourage that manages to make it to them in one piece.
