Liz's punch was indeed cancelled out by his own response but she felt disappointed as she jumped back to put distance between Marcus "Is this all? Speed and strength generally will only work as a surprise once, Your punch even when it did land though had no effect on me." She bluffed while keeping her usual composure before letting out a sigh "How did you get into the top 10, if this is all this school has to offer now then I really had no point in coming back." Liz put her hands behind her head, she was purposely trying to taunt him to see what she could draw out of Marcus to help him with his training.
