Yeah, I know I said I don't like that power but you seem to have a good handle on it. Btw, just because I'm interested in how these things work, what would happen if she encountered one of my characters duplicates? Would she be able to make her own duplicates if only the original Legion can clone himself?
She would need the source unless a duplicate can make more duplicates but she would know that the person she is seeing is a duplicate.
If she meets me does she grow an owl head?
That's a really good question, I think powers that change you permenently are beyond her capabilities since her genes basically copies the little variations in Meta Genes and allows her to use it. The changes to owl mans Genetic makeup are so huge that she would not beable to copy that without a concentrated effort and likely endup killing herself in the process. Unless your genes were specially made to handle that kind of transformation I wouldn't do try it yourself.
[@Sapphire] I'm wondering about what you said about your character having to 'think' like the person they're mimicing. What do you mean by that, of you don't mind me asking, and for how long does she have to do that? I ask because you have a character like mine that has a very sociopathic mindset and his powers are driven by an intense hunger, so if she were to copy his power, would that hunger transfer over to her as well.
Oooh I like this question, ultimately if my character fully unlocked your characters powers it would be pretty much over for them. They have a problem which is similar to hunger but more of a greed which is why when influenced by Avarice they would seek out something they prize, a rare power that only a few have or a new technique that is hard to master. These things can be driving but when Avarice kickes in theyll want to make sure that only they can have that power or that no one else can learn the technique. Basically a dragons horde, instead of consuming they want to posses and be the only one to poses that thing, to be envied and feared for having things that no one else has, that is Avarice. My character would not try to learn your power if she knows of the hunger and they might, but I still haven't answered the your first question. My character does not know how others think, only a mind reader could really know that, they make assumptions based on behavior and characteristics of people who she has met with the same power. (The latter way is dangerous because I am in no way saying all people with the same power think the same way.) With these assumptions they put themselves in the position of the person they are trying to copy and access their power. They basically have to think that they are you using your power and then they have to transfer that into their own memory. The process of replicating a power is long and grueling for my character with out the help of the original owner, the whole process takes a month at the least (it used to take much longer) but with the sources help it can be reduced to half the time. Let me know if that made any sense, I felt like I might have been rambling a bit.
Sapphire, there's another character that steals powers by cannibalism which doesn't exactly apply to yours but just wanted to let you know!
Ew. Thank goodness my character can't get a power too similar to their own If it sounds like I took a really long time on planning out my power don't be fooled, I'm only this organized because I had to write the CS like four times because it kept getting deleted, even when I tried to use a word document.
