Hey, quick update to the opening post: original humans will be called "Wildtype".  This is a term used in genetics to describe the original genetic variant found in nature, as opposed to variants from selective breeding or mutation.  I am using this term to differentiate original humans from Ascended, since Ascended are also humans and consider themselves as such and calling original humans "humans" might get confusing after a while.
