"Hello, Jenna. I'm Mirabelle," she spoke slowly but firmly as she watched the girl. "I need you to tell me--" Suddenly, Jenna fell back in her chair, hitting the floor and continuing to scramble away. She was reacting to the blood, and that confirmed the worst possible scenario: newly turned and then thrust into the world without guidance. Mira had been lucky upon being turned. Not only had her sire guided her through the change, she had actually wanted to be turned. This was not the case for the girl before her. "Okay, okay, okay," Mira repeated, making a show of leaving the mug at the table and following Jenna to where she sat against the wall. "You don't have to drink it." She added a silent "yet" in her own mind. Right now, Jenna needed help calming down. "You're okay, you're safe," she assured, slowly kneeling down beside the girl. Hesitantly, she reached out to take the girl's only hand. "Just breathe." Upstairs, the girl's screaming jolted Klaus awake and he sat up, eyes flickering to the door. He could smell blood but it didn't belong to a Kingston. He rolled out of the bed and into pants before quickly going downstairs to find the source of the noise. When he found Mira comforting a disabled woman on the floor and a chair turned over, he scowled a bit and looked around. "What's happening?" he asked, running his hand through the top of his hair. Mira waved her hand at him in response, and he wasn't quite sure if she meant "go away" or "shut up." Probably both.
