I have a few characters like that. I really like them, but don't use 'em enough.

It reminds me, actually, that I should ask when it'd be a good time for Ramona to show up. I was thinking they could probably run into her after Mr. Pike's class. Or, if April doesn't meet up with him after the class, he can run into Ramona and either battle her then and there, or introduce her to April first.
