"What are you writing?" "I've never seen baby Pokemon before. It's a surprise to be able to see so many up close, and the way they act so innocent and friendly is note-worthy for my father's research." He explained briefly, bringing up his father's research on the emotions of Pokemon and their bonds with Trainers once more. He was certain his father had experience with them, but for Desmond, this was entirely new. A mix of opinion and assumed fact filled the piece of paper he wrote on, the quick writing looking slightly difficult to understand as he lowered the notepad. One day, he'd like to be able to see baby Pokemon out in the wild. He wondered if they acted the same, or if this friendliness was simply because they were around Rick and April from birth. He figured it was the latter, but the truth was unknown. "I try and find small tidbits that he might not know yet, to try and help with his research. It's one of the main reasons I chose to travel." He laughed, shaking his head. "I wanted to go out on my own, of course. I'm just as curious about Pokemon as he is. But I want to do a few things for myself, too." He smiled, looking at April. "Viola's the first step towards me being ready to do those things. I'll have to be strong if I want to be able to push through the challenges ahead, and I'll have to have strong bonds with my partners. I trust that my Pokemon can help me through whatever I face." Blinking, realizing he had started perhaps saying a little too much, simply looked down at the Pokemon below him with the same smile stuck on his face. A single thought crossed his mind as he put all of what he wanted to do into perspective. 'There's a very long road ahead. One I won't falter from, no matter what.'
