Name: Lachlan Ragnarok Alias(s): Trickster/Loki (Loki is a nickname used by his friends and Trickster is his Merc name) Age: 31 Affiliations: Mercenaries/corporate
Loki is pretty tricky because of his powers but always wears A long fur-hooded coat which reaches past his knees. He also usually wears black dress pants and dress shoes, as well as a black vest, a long sleeved blue shirt and a red tie. This is subject to change and he has several sets of clothes but he is usually not seen without his coat, summer or winter. He has long white hair which is around as long as long girl’s hair. He’s fairly thin (surprisingly muscular, however. You’ll see why) and has thin facial features, kind of. Slightly pointed chin, slightly pointed nose. He usually comes with an easy grin as if he finds everything in the world amusing.

Lachlan is described by most as whimsical, self-serving and lazy. In a good way, of course. They’d also describe him as a funny guy who tries to break the ice however he wants. This is mostly true as Loki is the kind of guy who wants to do what he wants to do. Light hearted and kind, he teases his friends often. He also teases his enemies sometimes. He’s not the kind of guy to listen to orders he wouldn’t like to follow which causes him some grief sometimes. Basically, he does what he wants and is friendly and occasionally trolls people. That’s pretty much all you need to know. Oh, and he's childish and doesn’t think much about killing people.

Powers: For all intents and purposes, Lachlan’s (calling him Loki from now on) power is to create extremely lifelike illusions. He’s registered officially as one who can create illusions. His powers stretch a little beyond that, however. In truth, his power is to warp the perceptions of anything around him and create advanced illusions. For example, his signature move is creating clones of himself. These clones are simply illusions, but in addition to the image of himself, he can simulate his own voice, touch and even his smell (if he has some particularly distinctive cologne lying around or something). He can create light, heat, sound, scent and a number of other things to fool the senses of anyone, or anything, as it even works on cameras for some reason. Obviously, there are limitations. Loki cannot simulate anything he himself doesn’t know or can’t imagine. For example, if he doesn’t know what someone looks like, he cannot create an illusion of them but he can create what he imagines they look like. Most of the time, this ends poorly. Certain illusions also don’t work if he doesn’t know what they’re using to sense. For example, if a guy saw images based on smell, it would be kinda awkward. Another limitation is that while he can create mobile illusions, they have a certain range before the illusion begins to degrade. Additionally, while Loki can sense what illusions he has cast, he can’t do anything handy like see out of them or anything. One thing to note about his power is the limit of his illusion creating. He can summon near infinite amounts of crappy lesser illusions (1 sense max, low res) and it gets fewer and fewer as he goes on to fool the senses. He can’t make too many illusions that fool all 5 senses and the scale of each is pretty small. Also, the more difficult it is, the more concentration he needs so he tends to stick to low key illusions in a fight. Another thing, Loki has to parcel out brain power for every bit of the illusion he makes. The relatively simple ones take very little brain power and the complex ones take a lot. But his brain power is still shared over his other cognitive functions so if he wants something big and complex, he might stop moving or looking and in battle, if he wants to fight with his illusions, he has to keep it relatively simple. But the brain power also applies to things he imagines so making things he imagines is harder than doing things that are simple, such as his clones. This pretty much rules out big imagined monsters for normal combat and restricts their use to prepared distractions and stuff. Also takes more concentration to induce hallucination-like effects and stuff. To pool together all the weaknesses, picture this: Loki can cast a mass hallucination on all of his range (a few dozen kilometres) which befuddles all 5 senses but he has to devote his entire concentration to the task, any external stimuli will shatter the illusion and it’d be quite patchy and unreliable. All of his illusions disappear when he goes unconscious. All of these weaknesses are actually secrets only known to him because he’s managed to fool pretty much everyone he meets about the nature of his powers.

Due to Loki’s military training, he has very good hand to hand skills and moderate marksman skills. Loki really excels in his use of throwing knives, and uses them with good effect. Other than that, he can read the situation well and react accordingly. Additionally, Loki is a skilled liar and actor, able to change personalities at the drop of a hat. He pairs this skill well with his powers and makes a pretty good spy, besides the fact that he only does what he wants. He’s also good at sleight of hand and is pretty dexterous.

Loki has a lot of throwing knives, both hidden and not hidden. He has some to show off so that they won’t expect the hidden ones. He has them pretty much everywhere, but he can’t yet fool metal detectors and he can’t be bothered figuring out how to do it. Currently has his favourite pistol and a laser sword, a gift from Ruby. Also has a deck of uno cards
Ranking: B
Lachlan was born to an Scottish mother and a Norwegian father, hence the name Lachlan Ragnarok. His parents were kind, but a little laid back and let him do whatever, really. So after finishing his secondary education, Loki enlisted in the army. Why? If you asked him, he’d say it was because he wanted to be called General Ragnarok. After an eventful few years of army life, he was hospitalised and discharged from the army due to a bullet wound to the leg, but if you ask him in secret he’ll say he faked it because the military cut wasn't really working for him. He joined the circus for a year and then debuted as an actor, and was fairly succesful. Then his powers awakened and he really started having fun. At first, he became a stunt double because of his military and circus background. Then he decided to be a mercenary for fun. As a mercenary, his name is known to few and his contact details are largely unknown. He began a double life as a mercenary and an actor, only achievable by his unreliability. In the middle 2 and a half years of the time skip, Loki worked with light and a few other Hero metas on a movie that was supposed to improve the public's opinion of metas. It worked out, and he has a somewhat friendly relation with light but light doesn't know he's a merc.

Name: Isaac Stahl Alias(s): Dr Frankenstein Age: 26 Affiliations: Underground movement Description: Sitting at 5’1”, Isaac has an average build. He sports black hair he doesn’t bother doing anything with and is clean shaven. Isaac normally wears a clean white lab coat and dress shirt, formal pants, black tie and wire-rim glasses. For the most part, he looks like a normal doctor, but he carries scalpels in his coat pocket and you can occasionally find him with blood stains. Personality: Some might say that Isaac is the ultimate scientist, having an efficient mind which is constantly curious. Putting aside what others say, Isaac is undoubtedly emotionally dead and has devoted all his time and effort in his craft. He takes little interest in anything besides dissection and furthering his own knowledge of how bodies work. He is patient, calculating, ruthless and efficient, and is adept at putting his traits together to find the secrets of the human body.
Isaac’s power is seemingly an offshoot of his father’s own powers, which are named by the moniker ‘Vital point’. Simply put, Isaac and his father, Joseph Stahl, have the ability to see points on people which correspond with their vitals. They appear as glowing points on the person’s skin which appear to be the collective ‘vital point’ for certain areas of the body. If Isaac or his father touch a vital point, they absorb data about that particular ‘vital area’; data which includes the status of their muscles and organs, blood flow, blood pressure and other such vital signs, usually only observable through the medium of medical machines. They can detect diseases, tumours and foreign objects inside the subject’s body through touching the vital points as well, and they know about how things within the area of a vital point work to a depth that they can barely explain to anyone without their power. Additionally, if Isaac or his father cuts into a person, there are even more vital points which they can use to essentially ‘operate’ on a person to a degree no normal doctor could ever replicate, using the knowledge they receive about the human body from the vital points. Isaac’s own power went further than his father’s and it gives him the ability to cut through any vital points perfectly. Furthermore, his ability isn’t limited to living beings like his father, and he can cut stone and metal easily. Basically, the way Isaac differs to his father is that his father sees vital points as indicators of health and Isaac sees them as critical points. Assuming Isaac has something that can break the skin, he can cut any vital point. Vital points do exist on inanimate objects, but depending on their hardness, the vital points appear bigger or smaller. For example, sand’s vital points are very large, but a diamond’s are needle-thin. Both Isaac and his Father can intrinsically sense vital points, even if they can’t see them, but Isaac’s view of vital points seemingly correspond to the state of one’s health. The vital points of those close to death appear larger than a normal, healthy person, while someone who is extremely healthy has very small vital points, but there is nothing that exists which doesn’t have a vital point. Also, while Isaac can cut any vital point with any sharp object, he can’t cut a vital point if his cutting edge is bigger than the vital point itself. This is normally not a problem, as cutting edges are extremely small, but take the aforementioned diamond metaphor from before. He would need an actual needle to cut a diamond. That’s assuming he needs to cut something that small. Vital points are best exploited by utilising a weapon which can stab as well as cut, because vital points are usually at a good angle to stab. Wearing glasses makes it so that he can’t see vital points, which is advantageous in certain situations.
Skills: Isaac’s skills in surgery are unmatched, as his powers give him an unfair advantage. He learned from his father as well, one of the best surgeons of his day even before he gained his powers. But he didn’t just earn his nickname from that. His power really comes into its own with Isaac’s understanding of the human body, which he utilises to create living beings spliced from parts of different animals. Besides that, he’s of average fitness and health, but his power makes him extremely dangerous in close combat and he’s surprisingly fast. He also possesses photographic memory and is extremely smart. Equipment: Aforementioned scalpels and clothes. Isaac has an entire surgeon’s inventory, complete with power tools and the like. He has a lab which has even more stuff for his ‘hobby’. Ranking: A
Isaac’s father was quite devoted to his work as a surgeon and a biologist, which was probably why his mother left when Isaac was young. His power awoke when he was 10, a little while after his father awoke his own powers. Isaac kept his power a secret for a while, but he decided to explore the limits of his power. When he was young, he would often go out at night when his father was asleep to cut up stray animals and the like. Work and stories of a slasher drew his father to take them out of Germany, their homeland, and move to America. Isaac learned from his mistake and carried out his ‘experiments’ more discreetly, so his father would never know. When he grew to be 18, he went to an esteemed university and learned how to become a surgeon, as well as a biologist. His father taught him everything he knew and Isaac absorbed it quickly. All the while, Isaac worked on his ‘hobby’, under the noses of his father and the rest. He was very interested in meta-humans, and he grabbed every chance he could to analyse their workings, trying to find their secrets. In the end, there weren’t too many bodies but his father found out and he disappeared, faking his own death. He restructured himself somewhere underground, getting a surrogate lab up and running in a week. With this, he began creating ‘monsters’. He kidnapped people and metas who could disappear easily and altered their brains to make them into his servants. He did odd jobs for the underworld for a while to get money for more stuff. Eventually, his underground lab became more of an underground complex, based in an old, unused sewer system long abandoned to waste away out of sight. One day, he stumbled on the underground movement, and he was interested. Isaac had been disappointed by the period of peace, as it made it hard to get a hold of metas, and this seemed like a perfect avenue to continue his ‘studies’. Lending his genius to the underground movement, his creations lend their power to the resistance.

Name: John Rivers Alias: Blowtorch Age: 38 Affiliations: Underground movement Description: John is a grizzled brown haired man, an epitome of a man who’s out of the job. His build is average and his eyes are brown. He’s around 6 foot. No beard. Personality: Depressive, broody and grunt-like describe him pretty well. He has thoughts, feelings and all that stuff but when given a task, he shuts up and gets to work. Powers: He can produce a flame with similar intensity, size and temperature to a blowtorch from his hands. Also slightly fireproof, but only slightly. Skills: Relatively average builder strength, capability of following orders (if that’s a skill) Equipment: Phone, clothes, a handgun for self-defence Ranking: D (pretty low D) Backstory: John lived a fairly normal life. After finishing school at the age of 18, he became a typical blue-collar builder. Eventually, he gained his meta power and things got worse. Not quite good enough to be useful, but bad enough to be singled out for it. Back when discrimination and stuff were still rife, his friends (and girlfriend) were killed just because they were associated with him. He lost his job and his life was generally bad. He stuck through, however, because he wanted revenge on those who wronged him. He joined the movement so that he could take revenge, despite his weakness.
