He acts stoic to the other reborn, but his propensity for kindness from his former life often seeps out in small ways. He rarely smiles and feels that he needs to carry the burden of his sin with him. Some say that his aura is blue. Elliott exercises a great degree of control of his emotions. He still has emotional ups and downs as a reborn, but he does not feel as intensely as he had before. He is in a constant state of guilt but he rarely shows it. Unique Skillset(s): Skilled marksman, ballet dancer, and swordsman. His rebirth has given him the ability to learn how to drive any vehicle with mastery. In his past life, he was an amazing cook, which transferred over to his new life. Soul Relic and Ability: Penitence Basic Function: A hilt with a retractable blade that can extend up to six feet and cut through any physical material with relative ease. Special Funciton: By using his essence (his soul) as a catalyst and feeding it to penitence, he can eliminate the existence of anything his blade slices through. This includes non-corporeal things as well. (ie barriers, energy blasts, etc). The slash makes no sound and the blade disappears momentarily when he strikes, as the actual process of eliminating the existence of something also eliminates the blade. Former Name: Michael Asano Former Gender: Male Former Age: 24 Former Species: Human

History: Michael was born to an affluent family that granted him all the pleasures in life. His father opened up a famous sushi restaurant in Aldred and his mother, a novelist who had published a series of short romance novels throughout her career. His family life as a child was average, and he was never without attention as his mother was always home and his father's business was well off enough that there was never any financial stress. The loving family atmosphere made him a very kind person, often going well out of his way to help others. He wasn't without his faults, however. Michael suffered from Bipolar II disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder, always needing complete control over all aspects of his life. He always brushed his extreme downs as moments of catharsis and his ups as his most inspirational moments. Indeed, when Michael was hypomanic, he excelled at whatever he did. He attended a private university in Aldred to study journalism. There he met who he always believed to be the love of his life, Ella, during his sophomore year. A year later, Ella had grown stressful of Michael's odd mood swings and his obsessiveness over her. She simply wanted to take a break, but the change caused Michael to fall into a deep depression. He could not shake the void that she left in his heart, and let the void devour him. Michael dropped out of college and numbed himself with copious drug use. He had no desire or ambition to live after dropping out of college, and he slowly severed ties with all of his friends and family for a long period of time, spending his days working as a chef in a japanese restaurant franchise to spite his father. He spent most of his days at work, and when he wasn't, it wasn't uncommon to see him at a bar or at his dealer's house snorting whatever he could get his hands on. After a year long addiction to cocaine, Michael suddenly stopped after realizing that it no longer numbed him. He solely focused on work and often chose quiet bars to drink away his life. On February 18 after three months of minimum contact with other people outside of work, Michael committed suicide by jumping off a bridge into oncoming traffic after experiencing a long existential crisis and loneliness.
